Since the beginning of the 21 st century,with the rapid development of tourism and the optimization and upgrading of tourism structure,the demand for high-quality tourism talents in the tourism industry has become more and more intense,and the requirements for tourism professionals in the tourism market have become more stringent.Although the undergraduate students majoring in tourism management are still studying in school,they often learn and recognize their future career through various channels because they will graduate and work sooner or later,so as to form the cognition of tourism career.Under the dual pressure of the huge impact of the COVID-19 epidemic and the pressure of graduates to reach a new high every year,the employment situation of tourism management students is very grim,and the deviation of students’ professional cognition often makes the problem of the disconnection between supply and demand of tourism talents more prominent.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study and discuss the vocational cognition of undergraduates majoring in tourism management,not only to expand the employment of students,but also to improve the quality of tourism talents training.In terms of theoretical research,this paper mainly discusses the basic theoretical issues such as the concept,connotation,classification,content,influencing factors and functions of vocational cognition on the basis of analyzing and combing relevant research literatures and theories.It holds that occupational cognition is the cognition and evaluation of a certain occupation formed in the process of interaction between individuals and the surrounding environment.The theoretical dimension of vocational cognition of undergraduates majoring in tourism management,including self-cognition,vocational prospect cognition,vocational goal cognition,vocational planning cognition and employment tendency cognition;The influencing factors of occupational cognition are both personal and external,and occupational cognition is the result of interaction and mutual influence of various factors.Vocational cognition plays an important role in personal growth,school development and social progress.The theoretical structure and cognitive dimension of the vocational cognition of undergraduates majoring in tourism management constructed in this paper lay a theoretical foundation for the empirical analysis and countermeasure discussion in the following paper.The empirical analysis of this paper includes two parts: the current situation analysis and the influencing factors analysis of the vocational cognition of undergraduates majoring in tourism management.The main conclusions are as follows: the overall vocational cognition score of undergraduates majoring in tourism management is 3.20,indicating that the vocational cognition of undergraduates majoring in tourism management is at a medium level;There were significant differences in the scores of each dimension.The scores form high to low were as follows: vocational planning cognition>employment tendency cognition>selfknowledge>vocational prospect cognition>vocational goal cognition.Vocational cognitive factors affecting the analysis of the main conclusion is: the influence factors of tourism management professional undergraduate students vocational cognitive include internal factors,external factors and occupational factors,among them,the external environment of the factors that affect the formation of students’ vocational cognitive stimulation biggest,next is the student own factor,minimal impact from the profession itself.The study on the factors affecting the vocational cognition of undergraduates majoring in tourism management is of great significance for the discussion of corresponding countermeasures.In terms of countermeasures,this paper believes that in order to improve the vocational cognition of undergraduates majoring in tourism management,corresponding measures and countermeasures should be taken from different levels such as students,schools,occupational environment and social environment.Specifically,only students’ main body in the promotion of professional cognition level,strengthening school for cultivating the students’ vocational awareness,optimizing the professional department to carefully build the students’ vocational cognitive environment,optimizing the social level of regulatory guidance,the students’ vocational cognitive platform can effectively improve the tourism management undergraduate students of professional cognition,and promote the smooth employment of the students and the school talent training quality improvement.
