X ESports Club Development Strategy Study

E-sports is a new thing that has emerged along with the development of information technology and has now become quite influential in some countries and regions.In China,the eSports industry was initially semi-underground due to public opinion and other factors,until November 2003,when the State General Administration of Sports officially announced that eSports would be included as an official sport in China,and the eSports industry began to take shape.As the core part of the eSports industry chain,the development of eSports clubs affects the future development trend of the whole industry chain.x eSports club,as the eSports club ranked first in the country and seventh in the world in terms of the total amount of prize money won in 2019 and ranked in the top three in the national eSports club comprehensive strength ranking of King’s Glory,has certain strength in the industry,but it is not the same as some of the stronger and more influential domestic eSports clubs.There is still a gap between this club and some of the stronger and more influential clubs in China.Therefore,this paper selects the club’s development strategy as the research object,in order to analyse the club’s development strategy and achieve the continuous improvement of the club’s competitiveness,so as to become one of the most influential clubs in China.This paper firstly composes the concept of eSports and its basic characteristics,then based on strategic management theory,it uses the PEST model to analyse the characteristics of the external environment faced by the eSports industry from five levels: political,economic,socio-cultural and technological and the Porter’s five forces model from five levels: potential entrants,existing companies,substitutes,suppliers’ bargaining power and buyers’ bargaining power,and concludes that the external environment brings X Then,the internal strengths and weaknesses of X eSports Club were clarified through the analysis of X eSports Club’s internal strengths and weaknesses.Secondly,based on the SWOT matrix and QSPM analysis matrix,the opportunities,threats,strengths and weaknesses of X e-Sports Club were ranked,and the matching results were analysed comprehensively and its future development strategy was discussed.Finally,we propose measures to ensure that the X e-Sports Club can implement specific strategies for professional training,positive publicity and brand value enhancement.It is hoped that the study of the strategy construction of X eSports Club will help the future development of the club,and also provide some reference for other eSports clubs that are implementing or will implement related development strategies.
