| Due to the existence of communication disorders in autistic children, the communication style of autistic children is lack of functionality. In order to promote their functional development, the intervention methods for functional communication of autistic children tend to be standardized and diversified.Evidence-based practice reports released by the National Center for Autism Professional Development and the National Center for Autism Research in the United States and other authoritative institutions all point out that functional communication training(FCT)is one of the systematic intervention methods that have been proved by empirical studies to be beneficial to the communication ability of children with autism.Functional communication training has been widely studied and applied in foreign countries, but at present it is still in the exploratory stage in China, with few empirical studies.Because functional communication training requires the interventionist to follow the reinforcement plan at any time and place which is impractical. In recognition of the limitations of FCT,this study tried to intervene the functional communication ability of autistic children by combining the functional communication training with delayed reinforcement. So,this research adopts the single subjects experiment of cross subjects multiple baseline design combined with alternating treatment designs, for the functional sex of the two children with autism communication skills to intervene,to verify that the delay to strengthen communication with functional training combined effect,in order to increase the functional communication behavior of children with autism, reduce the challenging behavior of children with autism,Meanwhile, the waiting behavior of children with autism was increased. The results show that; The combination of delayed reinforcement in functional communication training can effectively improve the functional communication ability of autistic children. The functional communication behavior of case A was significantly increased, the frequency of challenging behavior was reduced, and the waiting behavior was also improved. The short-term maintenance effect was good after the removal of the intervention strategy, and the intervention effect was significant.Case B significantly improved his challenging behaviors, increased the number of waiting behaviors and his functional communication behaviors, but the maintenance effect was not good after the removal of the intervention strategy. This suggests that the intervention strategy has an effect on the functional communication behavior of Case B,but it should be removed after the behavior changes become more stable. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1.Functional behavioral assessment can accurately determine the function of challenging behaviors in children with autism;2.The intervention effect of delayed reinforcement on functional communication ability of autistic children was stable;3.Functional communication training has good social validity. |
