In recent years,many scholars have found that children’s peer relationship plays an important role in their future development.It not only has an impact on children’s academic and social life,but also affects children’s future social development.When we discussing the influencing factors of peer relationship,people tend to focus on the education of their parents,ignoring the influence of their grandparents’ upbringing.In fact,due to the social pressure,many parents are often unable to balance family and work,so they will leave their children to their grandparents,which is also the social trend in recent years.Therefore,this study mainly discusses the influence of grandparents’ parenting on children’s peer relationship,and also adds the mediating variable of social communication ability.This survey adopts the method of convenient sampling,selects the students of grade 4-6 of Taiyuan ordinary primary school as the research object,eliminates the subjects who fill in incomplete information,divorced families,reorganized families and families without grandparents’ participation,and selects 340 subjects that are suitable for this study.(1)In terms of peer relationship,children’s peer relationship is in good condition,and the degree of peer acceptance is greater than that of peer rejection;there is no significant difference in gender and parents’ educational background.The peer acceptance of urban children is lower than that of rural children.The grandchildren who have closer relationship with female grandparents have higher peer acceptance than those who have closer relationship with male grandparents.(2)On the parenting style of grandparents,the scores of emotional warmth and trust encouragement of urban grandparents are significantly lower than those of rural grandparents,while the scores of neglect type and control type are higher than those of rural grandparents.Grandchildren who are closer to their grandmothers have higher scores of emotional warmth than those who are closer to their grandfathers.The sixth and fourth grade grandchildren scored significantly lower than the fifth grade grandchildren in terms of emotional warmth and trust encouragement;the fifth grade grandchildren scored significantly lower than the fourth and sixth grade grandchildren in terms of doting,neglecting and controlling parenting styles.(3)In terms of social interaction ability,there is no significant difference among different grades,but in terms of social rules,the scores of grade 6 and grade 4 are significantly lower than those of grade 5;in terms of social innocence,the scores of grade 5 are significantly lower than those of grade 4and grade 6;in terms of acceptance ability,the scores of grade 6 are higher than those of grade 5,There was no significant difference in the scores of grade4 and 5.(4)Social communicative competence is significantly correlated with peer relationship,positively correlated with peer acceptance,and negatively correlated with peer rejection;grandparents’ parenting styles are partially correlated with social communicative competence;social communicative competence is positively correlated with emotional warmth and trust encouragement of grandparents,but not with doting,neglect and control of grandparents;grandparents’ Parenting styles are positively correlated with peer relationship Peer acceptance is positively correlated with grandparents’ emotional warmth and trust encouragement,negatively correlated with grandparents’ doting,neglect and control,negatively correlated with grandparents’ emotional warmth and trust encouragement,and positively correlated with grandparents’ doting,neglect and control.(5)The higher the scores of grandparents’ affective warmth and trust encouragement,the better the students’ peer relationship;the higher the scores of grandparents’ doting,neglect and control,the worse the students’ peer relationship.(6)Grandparents’ parenting style can also indirectly affect students’ peer relationship through students’ social naivety.Social naivety plays a partial mediating role between grandparents’ parenting style and students’ peer relationship.
