As an irreplaceable role in family education, fathers have received much attention from the government, society and parents in recent years. As one of the important skills of children in socialization, the development of social communication skills stems from the interaction of both parents in the family environment. Therefore, with the deepening of research, scholars have gradually paid attention to the exploration of the inner mechanism of fathers’ participation in parenting that affects children’s communicative behavior.Previous studies have found that the fathers’ influence on the communicative competence of young children’s peers may not be produced directly, but indirectly affects the communicative competence of young children’s peers through influencing other key factors in the family. Therefore,in order to better sort out the relationship between fathers’ participation, children’s peer communication ability and mothers’ parenting efficacy, this study mainly used questionnaire and interview methods to investigate and study 453 infant fathers. The research results are as follows:1.The overall situation of father’s participation in parenting is above the middle level, and there is no significant difference due to the child’s gender, age, and whether or not the only child is a child.Fathers’ participation in parenting has significant differences in fathers’ educational background and income variables, but no significant differences in occupation and household registration variables. The fathers’ participation in parenting has a significant difference in the mothers’ educational background variables, but there is no significant difference in the occupation, income and household registration variables.2.The communication ability of young children’s peers is at the middle and upper level as a whole, and the development level of each dimension is good. There are significant differences in children’s peer communication ability under different conditions of children’s gender and age,and there is no significant difference depending on whether the child is the only child. There is no significant difference in the children’s communication ability in the father’s education, occupation, income and household registration variables. The communicative ability of young children’s peers will be significantly different due to the mother’s occupational variables, but not due to the mother’s educational background, income and household registration variables.3.The mothers’parenting efficacy is generally well developed and is at the upper middle level. There is no significant difference in maternal parenting efficacy due to different factors such as gender, age, and whether or not the child is an only child. There is a significant difference in maternal parenting efficacy in the father’s income variable, but there is no significant difference in the fathers’ educational background, occupation and household registration variables. There are significant differences in maternal parenting efficacy in maternal education, occupation and income variables, but no significant differences in resident status variables.4.The fathers’ participation in parenting was significantly positively correlated with children’s peer communicative competence;the toddlers’ peer communicative competence was significantly positively correlated with the mothers’ parenting efficacy;the fathers’ participation in parenting was significantly positively correlated with the mothers’ parenting efficacy.Specifically, the various dimensions of fathers’ participation in parenting are significantly positively correlated with the "social initiative","linguistic and non-verbal competence",and "pro-social behavior" dimensions of children’s peer communication skills, and are significantly negatively correlated with the "social barriers" dimension.Related.The "linguistic and non-verbal skills" and "pro-social behaviors" in the communicative competence of young children’s peers are significantly positively correlated with the dimensions of "mental function","bringing skills" and"bringing beliefs" in the mothers’ parenting efficacy The dimensions of "degree" and"thinking patterns and emotional responses" are significantly negatively correlated;"social disorder" is significantly negatively correlated with "mental function","parenting skills" and "parenting beliefs" in mothers’ parenting efficacy, and is significantly negatively correlated with "parenting persistence".There is a significant positive correlation between "degree" and "thinking pattern and emotional response" dimensions;"social initiative" is not strongly correlated with the "parenting persistence" and"thinking pattern and emotional response" dimensions of mothers’ parenting efficacy.Except for the "thinking pattern and emotional response" of mothers’ parenting efficacy, which is significantly negatively correlated with the father’s participation in parenting, and the "parenting persistence" is not strongly correlated with fathers’ participation in parenting, the remaining three aspects of mothers’ parenting efficacy There is a significant positive correlation between each dimension and the fathers’ participation in parenting.5.Father’s participation in parenting can positively predict children’s peer communication ability;the "parenting skills" of mothers’ parenting efficacy can positively predict children’s peer communication capabilities;the "interactive" variable in father’s participation in parenting can positively predict mothers’ parenting efficacy.6.The mothers’ parenting efficacy plays a part of the mediating role between the father’s participation in parenting and the communicative ability of the children’s peers. The three dimensions of "mental function","educational skills" and "educational belief’in mothers’ parenting efficacy play a part of mediating role between father’s participation in parenting and the ability of children to communicate with peers.According to the research results,it is proposed that the family should build a good cooperative education mechanism to improve the communication ability of children’s peers;kindergartens should pay attention to the cultivation of children’s peer communication ability and improve the parental education function;the government should play a guiding role in the society to improve the reference of parents’ parenting ability.
