Conventional wisdom would seem to suggest that creativity is beneficial and valuable to people.However,creativity can also be divided into malevolent creativity and benevolent creativity.Although some studies have investigated the relationship between aggression and malevolent creativity,however,previous studies often focused on the effect in the college students.Considering that the mental health of the junior high school teenagers is in the period of accelerated development,it is easy to produce negative emotions and enhance aggression.Therefore,based on previous studies,this study takes junior high school students as the object to explore the relationship between explicit aggression and malevolent creativity.In addition,forgiveness is an important factor to maintain harmonious interpersonal relationship,which is the content of school education.So,this study explored the role of forgiveness in the relationship between explicit aggression and malevolent creativity,and used forgiveness intervention to improve junior high school students’ forgiveness ability,so as to reduce students’ malevolent creativity performance.Study 1 used the Hearland forgiveness scale,the Buss-Perry assault questionnaire,and Harris situational task materials,to conducte a survey of 490 students in a middle school in Baoding city,Hebei province.The differences of malevolent creativity in different demographics were analyzed and compared,The relationship among Explicit aggression,malevolent creativity and forgiveness is discussed.In Study 2,50 students were randomly selected from the subjects of study 1,and they were divided into intervention group and control group.The total research results are as follows:1.The malevolent creativity of junior high school students is on the rise in grade,among which grade one is the lowest and grade three is the highest;The novelty of malevolent creativity of non first born middle school students in non only child families is lower than that of only child and the first born middle school students in non only child families.2.Compared with girls,boys’ self forgiveness level is higher;middle school students with average family economy have higher ability to forgive others than those with good family economy.3.Compared with girls,boys have a higher level of physical aggression;middle school students with average family economy have a higher level of verbal aggression than those with other family economic conditions.4.There is a positive correlation between explicit aggression and malevolent creativity,and a negative correlation between forgiveness and explicit aggression and malevolent creativity.The relationship between explicit aggression and malevolent creativity is moderated by forgiveness.5.Through forgiveness intervention,it is found that the intervention can improve junior high school students’ forgiveness ability and reduce malevolent creativity. |
