| Essentially,micro-teaching is a process of achieving teacher professional competence development,especially the development of subject teaching practice ability,through the reflective practice of normal school students.Now,micro-teaching overemphasizes the development of teachers’ basic abilities such as expression ability and blackboard writing ability,but ignores the reflection of students on the teaching practice process.Effective evaluation of the teaching practice of learners is the key to the success of micro-teaching.However,the negligence in teaching design,limited time and the lack of systematic evaluation tools have prevented the teaching practice of students from being fully discussed and evaluated.,Which leads to unsatisfactory results in micro-teaching.Therefore,this study will design and develop of the mutual evaluation tool for micro-teaching to support students reflect on teaching practice systematically.At the same time,cognitive activities and artifacts have a critical supporting role for students ’reflections,and distributed cognitive theory provides an ideal framework for such a process,so this study will be design and development of the mutual evaluation tool for micro-teaching based on the theory of distributed cognition.Generally,this research follows the working ideas of software development,including the process of problem raising,requirement analysis,concept design,physical development,and application testing.First,based on the shortcomings in micro-teaching practice,the research goals of this tool are proposed.In the stage of demand analysis,research work was carried out mainly from the theoretical and practical levels.Based on the combing of the relevant literature on distributed cognition and micro-teaching evaluate,the guiding significance of distributed cognition to this tool and the relevant needs of the tool at the theoretical level are clarified.Through the investigation of the teachers and students of the "Micro-teaching" course,the actual needs of the mutual evaluation tool for micro-teaching in terms of subject,content and links are analyzed.In the conceptual design stage,according to the results of demand analysis,a theoretical model of the mutual evaluation tool for micro-teaching based on distributed cognition with emphasis on cognitive activities and artifacts was constructed.In the physical development stage,due to the requirements analysis and concept design stage requirements,under the Bootstrap + Laravel + Xampp technology framework,core functional modules such as ability testing,study classic case,evaluate teaching video,and construct evaluation gauges to support students’ evaluation and reflection were developed.Application testing phase,the tool was applied in the "Micro-teaching" course of Fujian Normal University.According to the tool’s learning tracking data,the questionnaire survey data of students and the interview data of teachers and students,confirmed the effectiveness of the tool.The research results show that the mutual evaluation tool for micro-teaching based on the theory of distributed cognition can effectively support and promote the teaching practice reflection of students.The learning tracking data collected by the tool shows that with the help of the mutual evaluation tool,learners focus on the basic areas of teaching gradually,the systematic design of teaching design,and the deep field of teaching practice such as student evaluation;The results of the student ’s questionnaire survey and the teacher-student interview data indicate that the students overall satisfaction with the tools of mutual assessment reaches 97%.Under the guidance of distributed cognition,the mutual assessment tool not only enriches the ways and opportunities of self-reflection,builds a cognitive framework and path for reflection,thus forming a system that supports normal students’ cooperative reflection.In short,the idea of designing and developing educational technology products combining theory and practical needs is feasible.Due to time and resource constraints,the application of the mutual evaluation tool for micro-teaching developed is relatively small,the scope of research objects is limited,the teaching cycle of the application only one round,the functional universality and concurrency ability of the tool,etc.It still needs to be continuously verified and improved in future research. |
