In the information age,the geography teaching field extends from the closed school classroom to the open social environment gradually.The traditional geography teaching mode is more and more difficult to conform to the learning styles and learning needs of modern learners.In this context,updating geography educational ideas and innovating geography teaching model have the vital practical significance on promoting the effective realization of the value of geography education.At the same time,research and explore the new geography teaching model can also enrich and develop the geography teaching theory under the background of the information age.Based on the distributed cognition theory,this paper constructs a new geography teaching model which combines the characteristics of the times,and validates the effectiveness of the model through practical teaching practice.The main contents of this paper are as follows:The first part is the introduction.This paper mainly introduced the background and research significance of this paper,and determined the research method according to the research ideas and the problems to be solved.The second part is the theoretical interpretation.First,the origin and development of distributed cognition theory are briefly introduced.Secondly,on the basis of domestic and foreign research,summarized the connotation and characteristics of distributed cognition theory and its metaphor for teaching which provides the theoretical basis for the new geography teaching model.Thirdly,discriminated the distributed cognition theory from other mainstream learning theory and excavated the theory and practice research hots-pots of distributed cognition,to find the starting-point of the new teaching model.The third part is the construction and structural analysis of distributed geography teaching model.On the basis of the definition of the relevant concepts,explained the specific structure of the distributed geography teaching model,including its theoretical basis,functional objectives,implementation conditions and operating procedures and so on.Finally,analyzed the main features of the teaching model which distinguish from the other geography teaching model.The fourth part is the implementation and effectiveness analysis of distributed geography teaching model.Through the experiment and investigation,it is found that the new teaching model has a significant effect on improving students' positive geography learning experience(including cooperative learning quality,geography learning motivation and so on).The fifth part is the conclusion.Summarized the main conclusions of distributed geography teaching model,reflected on the innovation and shortcomings of this research,and looked forward to the future direction of this study.
