As the main origin of government revenue,tax is not only the main measure of state macro-control,but also the economic base of the normal operation of the country.However,for the purpose of self-interest,many enterprises may have some tax evasion behavior,so that the income that should have flowed into the country from enterprises will continue to be retained in enterprises,resulting in the loss of national fiscal revenue.In the role of tax collection and management,although the tax avoidance behavior of enterprises has been restrained,the role of outside governance management is limited after all.From the point of internal governance of enterprises,we should make a better management of tax avoidance behavior of enterprises.In recent years,due to the increasing proportion of female executives in the company,women are emerging in the workplace.As a part of the characteristics of executives,the research on the relationship between executives’ gender and corporate tax avoidance helps to deepen the understanding of the internal governance mechanism of enterprises in China.At the same time,from the perspective of internal governance,it is very meaningful to study the influence of gender characteristics of executives on corporate tax avoidance,which will help to restrict corporate tax avoidance behavior.The purpose of this thesis is to study the relationship between female executives and corporate tax avoidance.Firstly,this thesis discusses the inhibitory effect of female executives on corporate tax avoidance,and then further discusses the mediating effect of risk-taking level on the relationship between female executives and corporate tax avoidance,as well as the moderating influence of corporate social responsibility between female executives and corporate tax avoidance.This thesis chooses the data of A-share public companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges from 2010 to 2019 as advanced copies,and based on the high-level echelon theory,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)the increase of the proportion of female executives will significantly inhibit the tax avoidance behavior of enterprises.Because female executives have the characteristics of risk aversion,they will focus on risk control when judging business activities.Because female executives are not overconfident and can reasonably judge their own ability,they will be more cautious in the implementation of corporate decisions and will not support corporate tax avoidance.When male executives in the top management team have radical judgment and want to avoid tax,female executives will use their good communication ability to communicate with other members of the top management team to make up for the lack of male executives,so as to inhibit corporate tax avoidance.(2)Female executives reduce corporate tax avoidance by reducing the level of risk-taking.The risk attitude of female executives is risk aversion,which will affect the overall risk-taking level of enterprises.When the risk-taking level of enterprises becomes lower,they will not be willing to pay too much for high profits.In order to avoid risks,enterprises will reduce tax avoidance behavior.(3)Under the regulation of corporate social responsibility,female executives’ repression on corporate tax avoidance behavior will be enhanced.The higher community responsibility of the enterprise indicates that the enterprise attaches importance to social benefits,pays attention to the local public welfare,environmental protection,welfare and so on,which is consistent with the strong moral sense and caring for the society of female executives.Female executives will be more willing to restrict the tax avoidance behavior of the enterprise in such an enterprise atmosphere,while other executives in the senior management team are out of control of the enterprise Considering the business culture atmosphere,they will also be willing to support the decision of female executives to reduce tax avoidance.The research of this thesis has the following contributions in theory and practice:on the one hand,this thesis theoretically enriches the relevant literature on the relationship between female executives and corporate tax avoidance;this thesis deeply studies the relationship between female executives and corporate tax avoidance,as well as the impact mechanism of female executives on corporate tax avoidance and the impact of the relationship under different corporate climate,which expands the previous research of scholars.On the other hand,this thesis provides a theoretical basis for the optimal allocation of the top management team and the improvement of the internal governance mechanism in practice,and also provides new ideas to restrict the tax avoidance of enterprises.
