| With the rapid economic development and the continuous progress of social consciousness,female have gradually got rid of the shackles of traditional mindset.They are playing an increasingly important role in the business field.Therefore,people began to pay attention to and think about the relationship between corporate governance issues and the gender diversity of the management team.More and more experts and scholars in the theoretical and business field have begun to seek methods and ways to promote corporate social responsibility behaviors from the perspective of corporate governance.Compared with men’s adventurous,decisive,and aggressive,female executives are more sensitive,stable,and conservative.The difference in personality traits makes the two have big differences in values,management styles,decision-making methods,etc.The "empathetic care" of female is bound to have a greater impact on the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility.Based on the Upper echelons theory and Group dynamics et al,this paper focuses on "the mechanism of female executives’ influence on corporate social responsibility".The study uses the data of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges from 2014 to 2018 as a sample to analyze the composition and influencing factors of executive power,and establish a research model.This paper conducts empirical research and analysis on the following three aspects:(1)the main effect of female executives influencing corporate social responsibility;(2)the main effect of the proportion of female executives influencing corporate social responsibility;(3)the moderating effect of the four dimensions of executive power——structural power,owner power,expert power,and reputation power,on female executives’ impact on corporate social responsibility.The research comes to the following conclusions:(1)the participation of female executives in corporate governance has a significant role in promoting corporate social responsibility;(2)the proportion of female executives has a significant positive impact on the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility;(3)the structural power of female executive negatively regulates the impact of female executives on corporate social responsibility;(4)the owner power,expert power,reputation power and complex executive power all positively regulate the relationship between female executives and corporate social responsibility.This paper introduces the moderating variable of "female executive power",and makes further research on the mechanism of female executives’ influence on corporate social responsibility.It enriches the research on female executives and corporate social responsibility,and also provides a certain practical guiding significance for female to better participate in corporate decision-making and enterprises to actively assume social responsibilities. |
