| As the golden age of language learning,the language acquisition of the children is taken seriously.So,the children’s language book has been a new area.At the same time,the language books related to Chinese are more abundant.The illustrated,lively and interesting children’s language book being very popular among the children.Now,researchers pay more attention to the development of children’s language books,and they got great achievements.However,compared with the teaching of English,teaching Chinese as a second language started late.So,the compilation of children’s books of Chinese as a second language are still in the early days.Based on it,it’s necessary to compare and analyse these two kinds of children’s books in English and Chinese.Through the similarities and differences,we can make suggestions to the compilation of Chinese children’s language books.On the basis of previous studies,this paper choose the Red Rocket(early one level)and the Rainbow Dragon(1 level)as research subject.The main reason is that both of them are approved by Readers and write by professional team.This paper is divided into five chapters,the first chapter mainly introduces the background,the significance,the objects and the basis of this paper.The second chapter compare the two books in the aspect of theme、words and culture.We find both the two books are focus on the daily topic and natural material.But there is obvious differences of the culture material and the say of animals in these books.For the words,the tow books control the number of words and the space of text within certain limits.And Children readers learn the sentence pattern by replacing words and repeating the same pattern.But it is different of the use of negative interjections and the key word repetition.As for the culture,the Red Rocket and the Rainbow Dragon give priority to the knowledge culture.But,the biggest difference is the design of national culture.The third chapter takes the picture as the theme.For the Graphic design,both of the books integrate the graphics and context,but the design of Major and minor relationship between graphics and context is different.What’s more,the pronunciation sign is entirely different.The fourth chapter mainly make suggestions to the compilation of Chinese children’s language books through the discoveries.For example,increase the scientific knowledge,broaden the scope of picture.The last chapter mainly Carding the research process and results,Points out the lack of this paper. |
