Vocabulary is the basis for the development of language and other cognitive abilities.Preschool is a critical period for children’s vocabulary development,and it is also an important period for the rapid development of children’s adaptive ability and social ability.The assessment of vocabulary development level is not only a marker to identify children’s intellectual development level,but also an important factor to assess children’s growth trajectory and risk.Understanding the normal and abnormal process of children’s vocabulary development is helpful to improve the understanding of children’s language development and make appropriate assessment and early intervention for children with backward language development.Peabody picture vocabulary test can be measured normal children’s vocabulary development level,also can delay,mood,emotion and behavioral disorder of language screening of children,in areas such as schools,clinical,and vocational selection plays a very important value.This research mainly includes two aspects.Research One mainly explores and verifies the structure of Peabody picture vocabulary test and the measurement characteristics of the scale.2 on the basis of studying a research,to determine the structure of the Peabody picture vocabulary test,a multidimensional item response theory analysis of Peabody picture vocabulary test,mainly includes the project parameters(multidimensional degree of differentiation MDISC,difficulty MDIFF,speculation c,etc.)and the subjects ability of multidimensional theta k estimates,based on the subjects ability of multidimensional parameter estimates,analysis of subjects in each dimension of performance test and master the situation.Chinese preschool children groups involved in five provinces of China(jilin province,jiangsu province,zhejiang province,shaanxi province,guangxi)children,age distribution of 2 ~ 7 years old(4.32 + /-0.98 years),on 2058 children in the small army of measured,half sample data for exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis was carried out on the other half sample data.The results show that:(1)Peabody picture vocabulary test includes 7 dimensions: persistent attention,pattern matching,developmental factors,abstract vocabulary understanding,perceptual recognition,life experience and auditory memory,which account for61.38% of the total variation.The factor load range on the final entry was0.40~0.89(P<0.05)after deleting any entry with a load value less than 0.4 on a factor or across factor loads.(2)Compared with other competitive models,the 7-factor model of Peabody picture Vocabulary test was well fitted(2/ DF =3.42,CFI=0.828,GFI=0.727,AGFI=0.717,NFI=0.783,TLI=0.824,RMSEA=0.052),indicating that the 7-factor model had better measurement characteristics.It is suitable to measure and evaluate children’s vocabulary in Chinese context.Based on the answers of 2058 children on the Peabody picture Vocabulary test,the second study adopted the multidimensional three-parameter logical Stick model to analyze the project quality.The analysis results showed that:(1)data model fitting of test results,parallel analysis between dimensions under the rubble diagram and MIRT correlation coefficient matrix shows that seven d three parameters of the model with the Peabody picture vocabulary test data optimal fitting degree,7 dimensions ability between related to a certain extent and each has its relative independence,prove Peabody picture vocabulary test capability dimensions may be involved for 7 dimensions.(2)The overall differentiation index of test items based on multi-dimensional ability space is better,and the overall quality of Peabody picture vocabulary test questions is higher.The MDISC,a multi-dimensional classification index,was used as a measurement standard.85% of the questions were of "good" and "good" quality,15% were of "medium" quality,and there were no "poor" questions.In addition,the MIRT project parameter AJK can better reflect the main dimensions examined by the project and the performance of its distinguishing power in each dimension,providing a reasonable explanation for the main cognitive dimensions examined by the test.(3)The difficulty of Peabody picture vocabulary test items is distributed in order of difficulty first and then difficulty,with moderate overall difficulty and reasonable distribution.(4)the ability of seven dimensions,subjects scored the highest on simple vocabulary cognitive dimension,second is the ability of perceptual experience,life experience,in turn,auditory memory,visual analysis ability and development ability,abstract vocabulary comprehension,showed the participants to Peabody picture vocabulary test simple vocabulary cognitive component to master the best,grasp the worst the element of abstract words understanding ability,and to abstract vocabulary comprehension composition control needs to be strengthened.
