| The rural female group is a very special group for the entire society.For a long time,affected by various social factors,rural women often exist in the eyes of the public as a stereotyped image of backwardness,obedience,and dependence.In the process of rapid social development,rural women are a group that is easily neglected,lacking the opportunity to speak for themselves,and gradually become aphasia in social development.Combining self-presentation,personal foreground and stereotypes and other theories,based on the research of rural female users on the Tiktok platform,this article found that Tiktok provides a platform for rural women to express themselves,so that rural women can realize their self-expectations in short videos,gain identity,and meet the needs of interpersonal communication.Obtaining certain economic benefits is precisely the motivation for rural women to use short videos for image presentation and construction.This article uses the method of content analysis to quantitatively analyze the self-presentation of rural women in the video.It is found that rural women present a diverse image in Tiktok.They are humorous,optimistic,upbeat,brave to express themselves,and value feelings and family.But at the same time,there are certain problems in the process of image presentation.For example,the actual image and the media image are deviated,and the repetitiveness of the content brings new stereotypes.In response to the problems that arise,this article gives suggestions on the image construction of rural women.The supervision and empowerment of the platform should be strengthened to help rural women establish correct gender awareness,and guide the change of real images through the creation of media images. |
