In the information age with rapid development of science and technology,computational thinking has become a necessary basic accomplishment for "digital natives".Computational thinking is a problem-solving thinking process,which can abstract and clearly express the solution automatically.Cultivating computational thinking is the need of the times.At present,the related research in China is mostly in the field of higher education.Since the Ministry of Education included computational thinking in the four core qualities of information technology in the "Information Technology Curriculum Standard for Ordinary Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)".The cultivation of computational thinking has gradually shifted to younger age,and how to cultivate the computational thinking ability in primary and secondary schools has become an important research issue.The promulgation of the "New Generation of Artificial Intelligence Development Plan" virtually points out the direction,that is,"to set up artificial intelligence related courses in primary and secondary schools and gradually promote programming education." Therefore,this paper aims at the cultivation of computational thinking and conducts relevant research with Scratch,a programming tool.The research adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and quasi-experimental method to verify whether the STMCT teaching mode with "3L-2ADIC" as the thinking training framework can effectively improve the fifth grade students’ computational thinking,including abstract thinking,algorithmic thinking,design thinking,innovative thinking and critical thinking in five dimensions.The whole teaching process includes three stages: consciousness stage,formation stage and reinforcement stage.Five dimensions are integrated into Scratch teaching to carry out targeted training.The teaching effect has been verified by conducting process and summary evaluation through CTS scale,Bebras computational thinking test,thinking training table and interview.Research shows that after Scratch teaching is integrated into STMCT teaching mode,students’ computational thinking consciousness is quietly formed and their computational thinking ability is significantly improved.Especially at the level of algorithmic thinking,students’ procedural representation of solutions becomes clearer and can deeply understand the logical sequence relationship.It is well developed at three levels and helps to flexibly transfer thinking methods to daily situations.On the one hand,the application of this model meets the needs of students’ cultivation of computational thinking;on the other hand,it also provides some references for theoretical and applied research on the cultivation of computational thinking in basic education.
