| The professional identity of social workers is an important factor in the career development of practitioners.High professional identity helps social workers to give full play to their subjective initiative and actively deal with the challenges in work,so as to carry out various service activities effectively.As a service industry,social work is a job that deals with people and becomes an emerging industry of emotional labor.At the same time,social work also carries the label of "female occupation",indicating that women’s gender characteristics such as emotional and caring are inseparable from emotional labor.In terms of the proportion of the population,front-line female social workers are the main force in the social work industry,and the factors affecting professional identity are complex.The emotional labor of front-line female social workers affects all aspects,and the formation of professional identity may be related to the particularity of this work.Therefore,this study takes front-line female social workers as the research object and takes emotional labor as the research perspective.Use qualitative research methods,based on the working mechanism of Grandy emotional labor,the current status and influencing factors of professional identity of these front-line female social workers are discussed.Through research,it is found that although these front-line female social workers have some differences in career choice,career cognition,professional values and future career planning in the process of forming career identity,they are generally closely related to the emotional labor of practitioners.This study believes that the emotional labor of front-line female social workers is generally higher than that of other occupations.Most of the emotional labor occurs in the process of contact and interaction with clients and colleagues.And practitioners tend to adopt emotional labor strategies of deep performance.The professional identity of front-line female social workers is the result of the comprehensive effect of the individual,family,and organization of practitioners in emotional labor.Based on the above research results,this article believes that in order to enhance the professional identity of front-line female social workers,it is necessary to tap the gender characteristics of front-line female social workers,improve emotional labor practice capabilities,play the role of supervision and vocational training,support emotional,connect with professional students,increase attention to this group,and increase public recognition of social workers can be used to support this group. |
