Functional training is one of the important means to evaluate players’ athletic ability, which is widely used in training schedules of various sports events, and is more in training activities such as tennis, badminton, table tennis, and football. In recent years, researches related to functional training in tennis have gradually increased, and the research direction has expanded to different fields of basic tennis technical theories, especially for individual techniques for serving and hitting. For tennis,on the one hand, functional training can ensure that tennis players complete basic physical training requirements, while reducing the possibility of sports injuries during training,on the other hand, for learners of basic tennis skills, functional training have certain impact in learning and training process of its basic techniques. With the continuous promotion and popularization of tennis, many colleges and universities in Shan Dong Province have set up tennis elective courses, besides, there are relatively few empirical researches for teaching and training methods of these elective courses. This thesis deeply analyzed the functional training impact on the accuracy of forehand and backhand strokes of students participating in college tennis elective courses, with experimental methods, literature methods and expert interview methods:In the view of routine teaching and training activities for tennis elective courses from universities in Shandong Province,16 sports training major students participated in tennis elective courses from Shandong Institute of physical Education,Grade 2016.They were divided into two groups: the experimental group with functional training and the control group without functional training. As the experimental object whether functional training affects the accuracy of tennis forehand and backhand strokes, the training is located in the preparation part and the end part of each teaching. Finally, through the comparison of the experimental results,it is explored whether functional training has an impact on the accuracy of the students’ shots, and what impact it has,and whether functional training can help tennis players improve their accuracy of shots, and whether it is at a certain level. To a certain extent,it has promoted the improvement of the teaching quality of tennis courses in colleges and universities.Through the analysis of the experimental results, the following conclusions are drawn:1.It can be seen that after 12 weeks of functional training intervention, experimental group and the control group had significant differences in accuracy of forehand and backhand shots. The results of the experimental group were significantly better than those of the control group in conventional teaching activities;2.It can be seen that after 12 weeks of functional training intervention,Additional functional training had higher positive effect in improving accuracy of students’ strokes than conventional ones, two groups’ stability indicators of students during the training process were significantly different.3.According to the average score results, the experimental group is superior to the control group, that is to say, functional training plays an obvious role in improving the accuracy of tennis elective students, which means that functional training plays an more obvious role in improving the accuracy of students in tennis elective courses.
