| Learning burnout refers to a negative phenomenon in which students avoid and tire of learning,lack interest and motivation in learning,feel alienated from teachers and friends,and have a low sense of personal achievement due to long-term academic pressure and heavy learning burden.For the special group of secondary vocational students,learning burnout is a common phenomenon,which not only affects the physical and mental health of students,but also adversely affects their future development.Currently,few studies reveal the underlying mechanism between the two.Therefore,this study investigated the chain mediating effect of fear of failure and academic self-handicapping between parental psychological control and learning burnout,aiming to explore the internal mechanism of parental psychological control and learning burnout,and reduce the level of learning burnout in secondary vocational students.This study uses the Parental Psychological Control Scale,the Fear of Failure Scale.Academic Self-handicapping Scale,and the Adolescent Learning Burnout Scale.784 secondary vocational school students from 2 secondary vocational schools in Shandong were used as the survey objects to explore parental psychological control,The relationship between fear of failure,academic self-handicapping and learning burnout.Using SPSS25.0 to analyze the data,the research results are as follows:(1)The parents’ psychological control,fear of failure,and learning burnout of secondary vocational students are at the middle level;academic self-handicapping is at the lower middle level.(2)In terms of grades,there are significant differences in parental psychological control and learning burnout.The third grade of secondary vocational school has the lowest parental psychological control score and the highest learning burnout score;in terms of gender,there are significant differences in fear of failure and academic self-handicapping.The failure of girls The level of fear is higher than that of boys,and the scores of boys in academic self-handicapping are higher than that of girls;in terms of whether or not class cadres,there are significant differences in academic self-handicapping,and the scores of non-class cadres are higher than those of class cadres;in terms of academic performance,There were significant differences in study burnout,fear of failure,and academic self-handicapping.Students with poor academic performance(poor and very poor)scored higher on fear of failure,students with moderate academic performance(better and average)had the lowest burnout,students with poor academic performance(poor and very poor)and very good academic performance of students have higher levels of academic self-handicapping.(3)Parental psychological control,learning burnout,fear of failure and academic self-impairment were significantly positively correlated.(4)Fear of failure and academic self-impairment play a mediating role between parental psychological control and learning burnout,respectively.(5)Fear of failure and academic self-handicapping play a chain mediating role between parental psychological control and learning burnout. |
