A Study On The Recruitment Mechanism Of International Students From Local Universities

The cause of international students is a cause that our government attach great importance to.Therefore,many local colleges and universities,whether accepting the implementation of local government policies or actively demanding the development of their own international level,have all invested in recruiting foreign students in China.This has caused many problems in the recruitment and training of foreign students in China.At the same time,since quality is an important factor in improving the development of our country’s international student career and enhancing international competitiveness,recruitment is particularly important as the first step to check the quality of international students in China.Therefore,through the research of relevant texts and case universities,this article finds that the case universities adhere to the concept of open and welcome enrollment in the enrollment mechanism,but there are problems such as single enrollment publicity channels and low entry barriers.At the same time,in the context of the epidemic,the admission and assessment method of H universities for international students in China has become an application assessment system,no written examination is required,and interviews will be conducted when necessary;at the same time,the admission procedures are similar to other universities in a single evaluation mode of independent selection by universities,lacking comprehensive Review,but also lack of background review.It can be concluded that the recruitment mechanism for foreign students in local colleges and universities has a single channel for publicity and low external visibility;low admission barriers and poor quality of student sources;single recruitment and assessment methods,lack of comprehensive performance assessment;lack of applicants The background assessment and the difficulty of ensuring the validity of recruitment evaluation are summarized based on the theory of higher education internationalization and higher education modernization.It is concluded that local universities have insufficient awareness of internationalization and insufficient attention to the recruitment of foreign students in China.Secondly,some local colleges and universities,in order to seek their own development,set lower admission standards or enrollment and assessment conditions to expand the number of international students in colleges and universities,so as to increase the proportion of local colleges and universities’ internationalization level,and then Improve the modernization level of local colleges and universities.Therefore,in order to improve the problems in the recruitment mechanism of foreign students in local universities,the following countermeasures are proposed: First,reshape the concept of enrollment: open welcome and treat people equally,which requires open welcome,open admissions majors,treat them equally,and treat them without discrimination.Chinese students and local students;second,strengthen enrollment publicity: multiparticipation,multi-form development,and expand the scale of enrollment;third,improve enrollment and selection procedures,and increase enrollment standard evaluation,which requires that local colleges and universities are expanding enrollment At the same time as the scale,we will continue to improve our own recruitment standards,and through the introduction of educational evaluation,we will continue to improve the non-adapted recruitment of colleges and universities themselves,so as to ensure the quality of international students in China while expanding the scale.
