Nowadays,with the rapid development of science and technology,short video with richer and more intuitive forms has gradually become the main channel of information dissemination.Among many types of short videos,the people’s livelihood news short video has been highly clicked because of its characteristics of "being close to the masses,reality and life".In the "COVID-19" that occurred in the late 2019,many short news videos of the people’s livelihood published by mainstream media in many places reflect the social and public opinion and the people’s livelihood.These rich videos with short value and correct values can not only unite people’s hearts but also guide public opinion.It is very necessary to study the local mainstream media livelihood news short video to guide public opinion.The Watch City in Tik Tok,an influential livelihood news column in Jilin Province,is taken as an example.Qualitative and quantitative analysis is used to explore the guidance of COVID-19’s short video report on the account.In the aspect of qualitative research,this paper makes a specific analysis on the collected short video according to the basic situation of time length and push frequency,combined with the relevant knowledge of Journalism and communication;In terms of quantitative research,through the three dimensions of agenda setting,release characteristics and guidance effect,Python is used to capture and analyze the data such as video titles and popular comments,summarize the effect and strategy of public opinion guidance,and finally put forward improvement and suggestions for the weakness of public opinion guidance during the epidemic.This paper is mainly divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which expounds the research background and significance,and defines the related concepts.The second chapter analyzes the public opinion environment faced by the short video of people’s livelihood news,including the necessity of its public opinion guidance.The third chapter quantitatively analyzes the short video content of the news of the people’s livelihood,which is released by the Watch City.The three stage of the epidemic is used as the time clue to analyze the agenda setting,release characteristics and guiding effect of the epidemic situation during the epidemic period,outbreak period and epidemic situation.The fourth chapter,combined with the previous analysis,analyzes the strategy of public opinion guidance for the short news video of the people’s livelihood news released by the account.The last chapter puts forward corresponding measures for the short news of the people’s livelihood news in the process of public opinion guidance.
