| In February 2020,an outbreak of the COVID-19 occurred in Wuhan,and the rapid spread of the virus put the city directly under seal.But it only took China three months to get the outbreak under control.This could not have been done without the role of emotional communication.CCTV news,the most important mainstream media in China,showed a good response in the face of the new crown virus.During the closure of Wuhan,CCTV news spread emotions through short videos of the COVID-19 on multiple media platforms,which brought emotional energy to make audiences feel the real and warm Wuhan,and had a positive effect of rallying people’s hearts,guiding public opinion and stabilizing social order,acting as a booster behind the fight against the epidemic.This article selects five COVID-19 short video series on CCTV news during Wuhan closure for research,focusing on emotional communication.The main content of the article analyzes all short videos accordingly through the three structures of frame theory,high and low.Through the frame characteristics,the emotional types,emotional communication contents and strategies of the short videos are analyzed.The emotional communication rules in the frame structure of CCTV news COVID-19 short videos are explored.The last chapter summarizes the effect of emotion communication in COVID-19 short videos and provides corresponding reflections.The purpose of this paper is to reflect how mainstream media can communicate emotion in the short video frame so that they can create a positive impact in crisis events.The success of emotional communication of CCTV news this time is also a good model for other media in the future,and even a reference for foreign media. |
