In recent years, the development of Vocational Education in China has followed the pace of developed countries, shifted the focus of the construction of modern vocational education system to the internal communication between various levels, and gradually turned to the exploration stage of how to promote the effective connection between secondary and higher vocational education. The merger of secondary and higher vocational colleges is conducive to the coordinated development of secondary vocational education and higher vocational education,so that secondary vocational students have a smoother path to higher education.Naturally, consolidation of secondary vocational schools and higher colleges is important in integration of secondary and higher vocational education.Domestic thesis on the consolidation of secondary and higher vocational colleges mostly focus on the connection of training objectives, the connection of talent training mode(three or two segments,five-year consistent system),the connection of specialty setting, etc.,while the consolidation of secondary vocational schools and higher vocational colleges,as one of the means of connection,is less studied by scholars. If we can promote secondary vocational students to improve their academic qualifications and constantly prompt consolidation of secondary and vocational colleges,it will be extremely beneficial to the systematic training of talents. However,it has had a great impact on secondary vocational schools in Guangdong Province, especially in the aspects of management system and teacher construction.Seeing the problems predictably and putting forward corresponding strategies can effectively avoid some risks and promote the smooth connection between secondary and higher vocational schools.Through the research and analysis of questionnaire and interview, this thesis shows that secondary vocational teachers are optimistic about and support the consolidation of secondary and higher vocational colleges, but there are some main problems. The response performance in the face of merger is mainly as follows: in most cases, the two schools have certain differences in their internal management system, and there is a lack of intermediate coordination organization in communication,It leads to poor communication between the personnel of the two universities, and it is difficult to mediate specific problems;Secondary vocational school teachers have negative emotions about consolidation;Teachers’ self-development has encountered bottlenecks; After the merger, the salary and personnel placement are not clear, the educational background of secondary vocational teachers needs to be improved, and the age structure is not ideal. Therefore, the author puts forward the corresponding strategies: strengthen the personnel exchange between the two schools and establish a coordination and communication organization;announce the personnel resettlement plan and clarify the salary;Improve teachers’ academic qualifications and degrees;use flexible management model and give timely guidance and care;make matched training objectives, enhance vocational education quality.
