In recent years, cohesion between secondary vocational education and higher vocational education in our country becomes a tough issue in the field of vocational education. The cohesion is characterized by its reality, particularity, and urgency. It is necessary and imperative to locate a coordinated development path for secondary and higher vocational educations and to explore a special road suitable for the cohesion of specialized courses between secondary and higher vocational educations. This research has chosen a higher vocational and technical college in Hebei province which was rated as the national key construction unit of higher vocational education, and a national key secondary vocational school as the research subjects.Field researches have been carried out on the cohesion of vocational courses in these two schools.Based on Structivism and Theory of Cognitive Development, the research has started from two different education levels of secondary and higher vocational educations and explored into directions such as curriculum objectives, curriculum content, curriculum implementation, and curriculum evaluation and other dimensions, using interview method and literature research method, and finally found out six problems presenting in the cohesion of specialized courses of mechatronics, namely unclear cultivation targets, disjointed content of public courses, repeated setting of professional courses, low ratio in professional practice courses, and monotonous and similar teaching methods etc. This research has discussed deeply into the reasons for the cohesion problem between secondary and higher vocational educations and holds that cultural discrimination, file plan in cultivation goals which need to be improved, and lack of communication in course cohesion between curriculum management department in secondary and higher vocational educations, lack of curriculum evaluation system and overall planning, lack of policy support and guarantee for vocational education system, and lack of motivation and ability of teachers in promoting the cohesion of courses are all reasons which caused the cohesion problem. In terms of those causes, this research thinks that the enhancement of the cohesion between secondary andhigher vocational education should firstly be in compliance with principles of hierarchy, module cohesion, overall planning and communication.Secondly, the implementation of credit system and the playing of teachers' role in course cohesion should be guaranteed. Finally, the research has put forward corresponding solutions to the cohesion of secondary and higher vocational courses from four aspects, namely curriculum objectives, curriculum content, curriculum implementation, curriculum evaluation.
