Labor education is a fundamental part of the implementation of quality education in China,and an effective way to promote the all-round development of young children.At the 2018 National Education Conference,General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward requirements for educators,asking that education must guide children to learn to respect and honor labor,and also let them understand that labor is the greatest and most beautiful,only then will they grow up to be hardworking and honest workers.The family and kindergarten,as the earliest environmental system that children are exposed to,profoundly influence the formation of children’s early labor education literacy,so strengthening cooperation between home and school is necessary to promote the high-quality development of labor education for young children.In this study,three kindergartens were selected from public kindergartens in K city as research samples using literature,questionnaire and interview methods to understand the current situation of home cooperation in early childhood labor education.The survey found that the effectiveness of home-home cooperation in early childhood labor education includes: teachers and parents generally recognize the necessity of home-home cooperation in early childhood labor education;teachers and parents attach importance to self-service labor of children in the content of home-home cooperation;parents are more active in providing material resources for kindergarten labor;teachers and parents are generally satisfied with the effectiveness of home-home cooperation in early childhood labor education.At the same time,there are also some problems: the parents’ role is not fully played in the home cooperation activities of early childhood labor education;the home cooperation of early childhood labor education lacks planning;the content of home cooperation of early childhood labor education emphasizes skills rather than emotions;the degree of home cooperation of early childhood labor education is at a low to medium level.Based on the survey,this study analyzes the causes of the problems,which mainly include the following aspects: firstly,parents’ factors,such as parents’ misconceptions about early childhood labor education and parents’ failure to realize that they are important labor education resources;secondly,teachers’ factors,such as teachers’ misconceptions about early childhood labor education home cooperation and teachers’ lack of knowledge and ability of early childhood labor education home cooperation;and thirdly,kindergartens’ factors,such as kindergartens’ factors,such as teachers’ misconceptions about early childhood labor education home cooperation and teachers’ lack of knowledge and ability of early childhood labor education home cooperation.The second factor is the kindergartens’ lack of research on labor education curriculum and insufficient training of teachers in labor education for young children;finally,the administrative level of education has problems such as insufficient policies and low investment of special funds.Based on the above investigation and analysis,this study proposes the following recommendations based on the realistic factors affecting the cooperation between home and family in early childhood labor education: first,parents should actively take the responsibility of cooperation between home and family in early childhood labor education,including clarifying the understanding of early childhood labor education and establishing the awareness of joint labor education with teachers;second,kindergarten teachers should take the initiative to promote cooperation between home and family in early childhood labor education.Third,kindergarten teachers should strongly support the cooperation of early childhood labor education and home,not only to strengthen the training of early childhood labor education teachers,but also to strengthen the research of early childhood labor education curriculum,and to provide families with scientific guidance on early childhood labor education;fourth,the education administration should strengthen the top-level design of early childhood labor education and home cooperation.Fourth,the education administration should strengthen the top-level design of early childhood labor education home cooperation,including gradually improving the policy of early childhood labor education and increasing the investment in special funds for early childhood labor education.
