| With the rapid development of sports and education integration in China,the deficiencies of cultural education management of college student athletes are gradually revealed.Sports and education integration not only brings new opportunities to the reform of cultural education management of student athletes,but also puts forward new requirements.American college student athletes have high academic achievements and graduation and employment rates,highlighting the good results of their cultural and educational management.Therefore,this study adopts the methods of literature,comparative analysis,logical analysis,mathematical statistics and expert interview.Through the analysis of the management experience of cultural education of American college student athletes,this study provides a useful reference for the management of cultural education of college student athletes in China under the background of the integration of sports and education,The results show that:(1)the cultural education effect of American college student athletes is better,and their graduation rate and employment rate are even higher than that of ordinary students.However,the cultural and educational management of college student athletes in China has only slightly improved in recent years,but there are still some professional athletes whose purpose is to obtain a diploma.In fact,they do not study and train in Colleges and universities.(2)The United States has formed an effective system and mechanism for the cultural education and management of college student athletes,and the legal provisions on sports also require the cultural education and management of student athletes.However,the interest demands of China’s sports department and education department are different,there is no coordinated and unified system standard for colleges and universities,the College Student Sports Association lacks sufficient voice,and the provisions on the cultural education of student athletes in the sports law are basically blank.(3)While pursuing "higher,faster and stronger",American colleges and universities attach importance to the primary identity of college athletes,and well transform the "contradiction between learning and training" into "mutual promotion of learning and training".However,China’s colleges and universities still have traditional competitive sports reserve talent training concepts such as "gold medal doctrine" and "utilitarianism" in the cultural education and training objectives of student athletes.(4)American colleges and universities have made strict and specific requirements for the enrollment and graduation standards of student athletes.By strictly controlling the "entrance" and "exit",they can improve the effectiveness of cultural education of student athletes.Nowadays,there are a large number of athletes and students who lack basic culture and education and take competitive sports performance as the first standard.Out of the pursuit of competition ranking,some colleges and universities sacrifice the learning time of students and athletes for training,and the requirements for cultural learning have been reduced again and again.(5)Compared with the very sound cultural and educational security system of American colleges and universities,the cultural and educational security of student athletes in Colleges and universities in China needs to be strengthened.The security measures of student athletes’ cultural education in Colleges and universities are far from it.The source channels of awards and grants need to be widened,and the effect of awards and grants is not very prominent. |
