An Investigation And Research On The Parenting Concept Of Grandparents Of Children Aged 3-6 Years Old ——Take City X And City S In H Province As Examples

With the acceleration of people’s life rhythm and the increase of life pressure,it is difficult for parents to balance work and raising children,which makes the participation of grandparents and parents more reasonable.Grandparents participate in or completely replace parents in raising children,which alleviates the difficulties faced by parents,but the problem of raising children by grandparents has gradually become more prominent.Using quantitative research methods,this study took the grandparents of children aged 3-6 years old in X and S cities of H province as the survey objects.Through questionnaires and interviews,it was concluded that the current parenting concepts of grandparents have improved,but there are still dislocations.The change in concept is mainly reflected in heredity and corporal punishment.Grandparents and parents deny genetic determinism and believe that the environment plays an important role in the growth of young children,and parenting methods do not advocate corporal punishment.However,there are still the following dislocations in the concept: First,the parenting method emphasizes material rewards,especially the grandmother with the largest proportion of the population has the highest tendency to advocate rewards.Second,parents of grandparents have low awareness and evaluation of their ability to change their children,and low evaluation of their own educational effectiveness.Third,the expectations for grandchildren are higher and there are gender differences.Boys have higher achievement expectations than girls.Fourth,there are also gender differences in advocating corporal punishment,rewards and democracy.This research is divided into five chapters,which are detailed as follows:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research origin,literature review,research starting point and definition of core concepts.The second chapter is the research design.It mainly includes research purposes,research ideas,research methods,and data collection and arrangement.In the research method,the relevant research tools are introduced,including the preparation of questionnaires,the testing of questionnaires,and the collection of samples.The third chapter is the result analysis of the data.It is divided into two parts,the first part is the description of the sample situation;the second part is the difference analysis of the data,partial correlation,independent sample T test,etc.,to analyze the current situation of the parenting concept of grandparents,and we can know the current education of grandparents and parents The feeling of ineffectiveness was the strongest,and the scores for advocating heredity and corporal punishment were lower.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the dislocation of ideas and the reasons.With the development of the times,the parenting concept of grandparents has changed,but there is still a dislocation,that is,the parenting style of grandparents advocates material rewards;the expectations of grandparents are affected by the gender of grandchildren;the parenting concept of grandparents is affected by their age and educational level.influence.Through interviews and theoretical analysis,the reasons for the current dislocation of grandparents’ parenting concepts are obtained,mainly from the aspects of grandparents themselves,fathers’ parents,social environment,traditional culture,etc.,and further explore the deep-seated reasons for the dislocation of grandparents’ parenting concepts.The fifth chapter is the correction strategy.In response to the dislocation of the parenting concept of grandparents,from clarifying the responsibilities of the government,providing jobs and purchasing services,optimizing the social environment,promoting the transformation of the concept of parenting,raising the awareness of parenting responsibility,clarifying the supporting role of grandparents,and promoting grandparents.Strengthen learning,improve self-awareness,etc.,and rectify the misplaced concept of ancestors’ upbringing.
