Research On Attribution Framework Of People’s Daily Online’s Coverage Of Marathon Sudden Death

Sudden death in marathon has always attracted media attention with the birth of this sport.The number of reports on sudden death in marathon by People’s Daily Online has been increasing since 2014,which to a certain extent can promote marathon participants to actively seek to avoid sudden death during the race methods and means.However,as one of the most influential mainstream media in China,the improper attribution of the Marathon sudden death incident reported by People’s Daily Online will affect the audience’s cognition and emotional tendencies,resulting in public opinion incidents,which is not conducive to social stability and harmony.Therefore,exploring the attribution characteristics of People’s Daily Online’s sudden death incident in Marathon and the problems caused by improper attribution will play an important guiding role in monitoring the reporting port in the future to minimize the occurrence of public opinion incidents.Based on the attribution theory and framework theory,through the content analysis of a total of 136 marathon sudden death reports reported by People’s Daily Online from 2012 to2021,the attribution factors and responsible subjects of People’s Daily Online’s marathon sudden death event were extracted and identified.At the same time,using coding technology and mathematical statistical methods to conduct frequency statistics on the attribution factors and subjects responsible for sudden death events in the People’s Network Marathon,and further through the chi-square test to explore the characteristics and existing problems of attribution and attribution,for targeted optimization People’s Daily Online’s Marathon Sudden Death Report provides a theoretical basis.In the attribution framework of marathon sudden death reports,the intrinsic dimension attribution framework includes the runner’s personal characteristics and physical conditions,personal factors and biological factors,and the extrinsic dimension attribution framework includes system factors such as environment and situation,and other factors.Among them,the attribution frameworks of internal and external dimensions are significantly different,and the attribution frameworks of external dimensions are dominant.Too many external attribution frameworks weaken the influence of subject responsibility and internal factors.The controllable dimension attribution framework includes human controllable factors such as pre-run detection,and the uncontrollable dimension attribution framework includes uncontrollable factors such as extreme weather.Among them,the attribution frameworks of controllable and uncontrollable dimensions are significantly different,and the attribution framework of uncontrollable dimensions is the main one.Too many uncontrollable attribution frameworks leading to a lack of comprehensive coverage.The stable dimension attribution framework includes factors that do not change significantly over time,such as runners ’physical fitness.The unstable dimension attribution framework is the opposite.Among them,the stability and instability attribution frameworks have significant differences,and the instability attribution framework is the main one.Too many unstable attribution frameworks weaken the objectivity of marathon sudden death reports and are not conducive to the long-term development of marathon events.To this end,it is necessary to increase the internal dimension attribution and accountability framework reports,reasonably attribute the internal and external dimension factors,and investigate the responsibilities of each subject,so as to maintain a balanced report on sudden marathon death.Secondly,the controllable dimension and uncontrollable rational attribution of marathon sudden death reports promote comprehensive reporting of marathon sudden death.Finally,the stable and unstable attribution framework is reasonably arranged to form an objective report of sudden death in marathon,which can provide reference for the research on sudden death report of marathon in the media.
