Nowadays,the aging trend of Chinese society is further aggravated,and the development of new media technology is unstoppable.Under the background of aging and digitalization,as "digital immigrants",the elderly are difficult to adapt to the change of new media technology,and gradually become "digital refugees".The novel Coronavirus outbreak in late December 2019 highlighted the tension between the elderly population and digitization.As a digital vulnerable group,the elderly group is gradually marginalized in the rapidly changing era of new media.Whether the elderly can live freely and healthily in the new media era is related to the solution of China’s aging problem,the improvement of people’s happiness and the sustainable development of Chinese society.Therefore,it is of great social significance to study the problems related to the digital survival of the elderly group.This paper uses questionnaire survey to investigate and study the digital access status,media literacy status and media learning status of 350 urban elderly in Nanchang.By means of induction,valid questionnaires collected information integration,analyze the present situation of the elderly have digital and further analyze the digital survival present situation existing problems and the causes of these problems,on the basis of this study is committed to helping the elderly digital survival strategy paper had stridden the elderly "digital divide","digital trap",For the elderly group to keep up with the pace of digital,enjoy digital life to contribute their own strength.Through the analysis of the questionnaire data,it is found that the digital existence of the elderly group is faced with four dilemmas: low level of media appeal,insufficient willingness to integrate digital,imbalance of media discourse power and poor media critical ability of information.The reasons for the above dilemmas are as follows: first,the significant intergenerational gap and the absence of digital feedback;Secondly,media access rate is low and utilization rate is insufficient.Third,the body function is weakened,the technology panic is remarkable;Fourth,media suitable for aging resources lack.Therefore,this paper proposes to find a solution to the digital survival dilemma of the elderly group from five aspects: the elderly themselves,media platform,intelligent services,family and society,and government policies.At the level of the elderly themselves,they need to improve their subjective initiative,actively participate in media life,and change the concept of media participation.At the level of media platform,media enterprises need to develop apps suitable for the elderly to use and produce media content for the elderly to watch,read and consume.In terms of intelligent equipment services,intelligent voice services should be promoted,and intelligent media services should be combined with traditional human services.At the family and social level,on the one hand,the influence of peer groups should be exerted;On the other hand,children should set up digital feedback consciousness.In the government’s policy level,the government should formulate and improve the elderly digital survival related policies,urge the media platform for optimal aging,give capital support and encouragement,and media platform to promote lifelong learning idea,at the same time encourage older university,the community can be offline media study and practice activities,effectively improve the elderly digital ability to learn and use.The development of media technology should not leave anyone behind.As one of the members of society,the elderly should enjoy the dividend brought by digital development together.Therefore,we need to gather forces from all walks of life to build a warm,open and inclusive digital society for the elderly,so as to avoid the elderly being reduced to an "island" in the digital age.
