Since entering the 21 st century,China’s demand for innovative talents has further increased.Creative thinking is the core and foundation of individual innovation ability,and is a key breakthrough in improving individual innovation ability.At present,relatively little research on creative thinking has focused on the different stages within its process.At the same time,creative thinking activities,as an individual’s advanced cognitive process,are inextricably linked to working memory,so the influence of working memory on creative thinking has attracted the attention of many scholars;and related studies have shown that participants with field-independent cognitive styles have a strong cognitive restructuring ability,so they have a predominance in working memory,but There is relatively little research on whether it will further influence creative thinking by affecting working memory.In addition,as one of the important resources of national high-quality talents,it is crucial for college students to improve their level of creative thinking.However,relevant studies have shown that the cognitive level of college students in qinghai and other plateau areas is susceptible to the negative impact of the plateau environment.Based on the above situation,in order to explore the working memory and field cognitive style of Qinghai university students,the specific impact of the internal process of their creative thinking activities,and find an effective way to improve the creative thinking level of college students,this study selected college students from a university in Qinghai as the research object,through reading the working memory breadth task,Graphical mosaic tests and riddle tasks with clues presented,experimental studies were conducted to reach the following conclusions:First,In the stage of characterization,search and reconstruction of creative thinking,college students who have both high working memory capacity and field-independent cognitive style require less time than college students with low working memory capacity and field-dependent type.Second,the working memory capacity plays a completely mediating role in the influence of field cognitive style on the characterization and search stages;in the influence of field cognitive style on the reconstruction stage,it plays a partial mediating role.Third,the correct rate of creative thinking tasks of field independent college students is significantly higher than that of field dependent college students.Overall,Qinghai University students’ high working memory capacity and fieldindependent cognitive style have helped to improve their creative thinking level.
