Self-care ability is closely related to children’s life and hygiene habits.Acquiring basic self-care ability in early childhood is conducive to promoting children’s physical and mental health,learning quality,and improving their ability to adapt to collective life,thereby promoting children’s all-round and harmonious development.Young children in small classes only enter kindergarten,they are highly malleable,and their learning methods are mainly imitation.Under the guidance of science,they can develop good self-care habits.Therefore,it is very necessary and meaningful to study the improvement of self-care ability of children in small classes.Through per-observation,this study found that the children in the class have a low awareness of life self-care and need to be reminded by teachers many times;family education concepts are inconsistent,and good habits are difficult to develop;there are obstacles in the home force,and the effectiveness of communication is low;Specific requirements are not clear.Combining with the domestic and foreign literature on children’s self-care ability,and according to the development characteristics of the children in the class,the self-care ability of the study is divided into five aspects: washing,going to the toilet,catering,dressing and undressing,and organizing items.According to the five aspects of life self-care ability,the research team designed the "Specific Content Requirements Table for Children’s Self-care Ability in Small Class",conducted per-tests on the children in the experimental class and the reference class,and analyzed the data.low and there is no significant difference.This study uses action research as the main method,and designs an action research plan to improve the self-care ability of small-class children according to the current situation of children’s development.A three-stage action research was carried out in the links of "action purpose and plan-action process and effect-action evaluation and reflection",and the conclusion was drawn through the analysis of post-test data: Teachers and parents create a suitable environment to create a self-care atmosphere for the life of families and kindergartens;teachers strengthen the transmission of ideas to enhance the cultivation of children’s self-care ability in the family;teachers pay attention to the transitional links to meet the development needs of children’s self-care in life;follow the three methods and five principles to strengthen the exercise of children’s self-care ability in life;a variety of parallel ways to give play to the collective effect of education.Through this research,children’s self-care ability has been significantly improved and good living habits have been developed;their ability to participate in teachers’ organizational activities and professional quality have been improved;the author has accumulated a lot of practical experience and his own research ability has been improved.
