| Innovation is the soul of a nation’s progress and the inexhaustible driving force for a country’s prosperity.The importance of cultivating innovative talents has become increasingly prominent.Studies have proved that 3-6 years old is the embryonic period of creativity and a "critical period" for cultivating creativity.Preschool teachers are an important supporter of children’s creativity development at this stage.The cultivation of children’s creativity is inseparable from teachers’ appropriate concept and behaviors for creativity cultivation.Therefore,Therefore,this study will explore the status quo of preschool teachers’ creativity cultivation concept and creative teaching behavior and their relationship.In this study,203 preschool teachers from Yunnan Province were selected as the questionnaire objects to preliminarily understand the current situation of their creative cultivation concept and their creative teaching behavior,and their relationship.Then,20 teachers from a kindergarten in Kunming were selected as the objects of observation and interviews to understand the specific performance of preschool teachers’ creativity cultivation concept and creative teaching behavior in actual education and teaching,while to corroborate with the results of the questionnaire.besides the 20 objects are used to explore the influencing factors of the transformation of the concept of creativity cultivation into creative teaching behavior.The research conclusions are as follows:1.The scores of preschool teachers’ creativity cultivation concept and its three dimensions are relatively high;Preschool teachers have a high consensus on the dimensions of creative children and creative teaching methods,and the characteristics of "creative children" are:(1)Good character qualities,mainly lively and active,self-disciplined and focused,confident and brave.(2)well developed ability.(3)Active thinking and imaginative.(4)Rich in life experience.Preschool teachers believe that effective creative teaching methods include:(1)use all methods and means to stimulate children’s interest in participating in activities.(2)Provide children with opportunities to gain new knowledge and new experience.(3)Create an atmosphere of democracy.There is some controversy in the dimension of general creativity concept,which is embodied in the understanding of "Can young children show creativity in various fields?".Teachers believe that creativity in different fields is different,and there are differences in the creativity of different children in various fields;There are differences in gender,educational background and professional titles in preschool teachers’ creativity cultivation concept.2.The scores of preschool teachers’ creative teaching behavior and its three dimensions are relatively high;there are gender differences in preschool teachers’ creative teaching behavior;preschool teachers’ creative teaching behavior has advantages and disadvantages.The advantages are: first,in guiding knowledge discovery dimension,teachers use group teaching activities to guide children to discover knowledge,Use regional activities and transitional links in daily life to guide children to extend their knowledge,and use environment creation to guide children learn from peers.Secondly,in the dimension of stimulating thinking,teachers guide children to think actively through questions,stimulate children’s enthusiasm for participation through self-selected tasks,and help children face setbacks correctly through encouragement.Finally,in the dimension of activating thinking,teachers use open-ended questioning and problem solving to develop children’s flexible thinking,and use children’s mutual evaluation to develop children’s critical thinking;The deficiencies are mainly reflected in:(1)The group activities organized by teachers are easy to form.(2)Young children rarely participate in the selection of teaching activities.(3)Teachers are accustomed to teaching according to preset ideas.(4)Teachers interfere too much with children.3.Creative cultivation concept can predict their creative teaching behavior;The creative teaching method view of preschool teachers has the most significant influence on guiding knowledge discovery;The factors that affect the transformation of preschool teachers’ creativity cultivation concept into creative teaching behavior are:(1)Children acceptance and emergencies;(2)External environmental support,such as parental cooperation,leadership support,peer support,material support;(3)Teachers’ own factors,such as time occupied by extra things,teaching practice and ability,reflective learning,inherent thinking patterns,personal emotions,self-efficacy.Educational recommendations based on research findings include:(1)Improve the comprehensive quality of preschool teachers’ creativity training.(2)Develop a kindergarten-based curriculum on the cultivation of creativity.(3)Educational synergy is formed through Family-Kindergarten Cooperation. |
