Bacteria are ubiquitous and harmful bacteria threaten human health all the time.According to statistics,bacterial infection is one of the main sources of diseases threatening human health.In the face of the invasion of bacteria,it is particularly important to study the antibacterial properties of textile materials accompanying people's daily life.Compared with weaving and knitting,nonwovens have the advantages of simple production process,high productivity,low cost and excellent product performance,which has become one of the most demanded textile materials.At present,people pay more attention to the antibacterial nonwovens with environmental friendly and degradable characteristics.Natural antibacterial fibers mainly include chitosan fiber,chitin fiber,hemp fiber,bamboo fiber,kapok fiber,etc.Although they have certain antibacterial properties,their antibacterial effect is not strong and antibacterial spectrum is narrow.At present,the widely used antibacterial fiber and its nonwovens are still realized by finishing.The addition of antibacterial agent improves the antibacterial effect and durability of the fabric.The antibacterial range is wider and the function is more perfect.Based on the antibacterial properties of kapok fiber,two kinds of natural fibers kapok fiber and cotton fiber were selected as raw materials to prepare kapok nonwovens through carding and netting,Spunlaced reinforcement and other processes.Through the characterization and analysis of various properties of kapok spunlaced nonwovens with different raw material ratios,the appropriate fiber ratio was determined.Secondly,for the lack of good antibacterial effect of kapok Spunlaced materials,two different types of antibacterial agents were selected for antibacterial finishing to improve their antibacterial properties and provide the possibility for expanding their application scope.The conclusions are as follows.(1)Development of kapok spunlaced nonwovens.In the preparation process of kapok Spunlaced cloth,with the increase of kapok fiber content,the air permeability,softness and contact angle of the sample increase,but at the same time,the carding difficulty increases,the netting difficulty increases,and the strength of the sample decreases obviously.Therefore,the ratio of kapok / cotton = 40 / 60 was finally determined for antibacterial finishing(2)Antibacterial finishing of kapok spunlaced nonwovens.Considering the excellent antibacterial property of silver ion,the silver loading experiment of kapok spunlaced nonwovens based on PDA / PEI co deposition was carried out.The introduction of Pei helps to increase the load rate of PDA to more than 32%.As a kind of polyamine polymer,Pei also helps to reduce Ag + and chelate metal AG.The optimized parameters of dopamine deposition experiment are: Pei concentration 1g / L,solvent ethanol: water = 1:1,dopamine impregnation time 12 h.The prepared nonwovens(n-pda / PEI(1)/ Ag)had strong antibacterial activity.For Staphylococcus aureus,the antibacterial rate of n-pda / PEI(0)/ Ag was 97.7%,while the antibacterial rate of n-pda / PEI(1)/ Ag was 99.9%,and the washing fastness of n-pda / PEI(1)/ Ag was excellent.At the same time,the mechanical strength is also improved,and the softness and air permeability are also maintained.The above silver loading experiments give kapok Spunlaced cloth higher antibacterial properties,but as a heavy metal,silver exists in the environment,which may have potential harm to the nature.(3)Antibacterial finishing of natural Chinese medicine on Kapok spunlaced nonwovens.From the perspective of safety and environmental protection,the Chinese medicine extract was selected to finish the kapok Spunlaced cloth.Firstly,the original sample of kapok Spunlaced cloth was pretreated.Based on the strength index,the pretreatment parameters of Na OH were obtained: Time 1 h,concentration 0.25%.The optimum conditions for antibacterial finishing of honeysuckle were as follows: soaking time 2 h,temperature 60?,honeysuckle extract concentration 10%.The finished spunlaced nonwovens(N-JYH)had an inhibition rate of 82.3% against Staphylococcus aureus and was not sensitive to Escherichia coli.The antibacterial rate of N-JYH reached 73.9% after 10 times of washing,which proved that the washing resistance of honeysuckle extract finishing method still needs to be strengthened.Compared with the original sample,the mechanical strength of the finished sample decreased obviously,and the air permeability and softness changed little.
