The number of elderly people in China is rising, and the number of retirees is increasing, more and more elderly people are keeping autonomous driving habits in their travels. There will be more elderly people are choosing to drive independent mobility and flexibility needed to meet the travel, the number of older drivers will continue to rise.Because the aging function of the older drivers will cause age-related decline, affecting the driving ability and operation ability of the older drivers, the problem of driving safety for elderly drivers is widely concerned by society.Research at the risk of driving conditions, older drivers who perceive the behavior of the critical state, changes in features of the operating behavior and physiological behavior of different age driver in-depth exploration of critical driving behavior characteristics, provide a theoretical basis for older drivers safe driving. This topic takes the critical response ability of older drivers in the risk situation as the starting point, and studied the operational response characteristics and physiological and psychological characteristics of the older drivers under critical conditions, and comparative analysis of the differences of different ages driver reaction time, braking characteristics, sensitivity and risk threshold and heart rate variability and other indicators.First, the middle-aged and older drivers were recruited and the KMRTDS driving simulation platform of Kunming University of Science and Technology was used to simulate the driver's critical response capability. The driving behavior data is collected through the dynamic platform of the simulator, and the physiological and psychological behavior parameters of the driver are obtained through the physiological psychology instrument.Second, the simulated driving scene was graded, the S-P-T table method was used to analyze the smoothness of reaction time of two groups of drivers in five different levels of risk scenarios. It was found that the response time of young and middle-aged drivers in various risk situations was more stable than that of older drivers, and there were significant differences between the two groups of drivers. Then, the operational behavior characteristics and physiological and psychological behavior characteristics of the two groups of drivers in different risk levels of 5 were analyzed and compared, the driving behavior and physiological and psychological behavior of young and middle-aged drivers are more secure than those of older drivers in critical conditions.Establishing a risk sensitivity and risk response threshold model under critical conditions, calculated and analyzed the sensitivity and threshold of two groups of driver subjects, and apply the subjects characteristic curve analysis of the differences between the two groups of drivers, young drivers more risk-sensitive,more accurate perception of risk. The critical braking process of the driver is analyzed, and the braking distance calculation model is established. The relationship between braking distance and age and braking deceleration rate is determined. Finally,a multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model for the critical response capability of drivers in risk scenarios is established, the critical response ability of the two groups of drivers was evaluated. The results of the evaluation showed that the critical response of young and middle-aged drivers was good, while the older drivers were rated as poor. Therefore,in order to avoid the occurrence of traffic accidents,it is necessary to ensure the safety of older drivers in terms of improving transportation facilities and improving active safety in the vehicle.
