This thesis mainly studies the impact of industrial agglomeration on the performance of China's equipment manufacturing industry.First,it reviews and analyzes domestic and foreign literature on industrial agglomeration and manufacturing performance, reviews the related theories of industrial agglomeration, and analyzes its impact on performance. And based on the previous literature and related theories to make assumptions about the research content.Afterwards,we carry out relevant calculations on the industrial agglomeration degree of China's equipment manufacturing industry, select the performance indicators of equipment manufacturing industry, construct a measurement model, and then conduct an empirical analysis. The empirical results are consistent with the assumptions made.In the overall industry and sub-sectors,industrial agglomeration and equipment manufacturing performance have an inverted "U" relationship, but in different regions, the impact of industrial agglomeration on the performance of equipment manufacturing performance is different. In the eastern region, the crowding effect of industrial agglomeration has a negative impact on the performance of the equipment manufacturing industry;the agglomeration effect of industrial agglomeration in the central and western regions has a positive effect on the performance of the equipment manufacturing industry. Finally, based on the empirical analysis results of the thesis and the current situation of China's equipment manufacturing industry, based on the perspective of production agglomeration, suggestions for improving the performance of equipment manufacturing industry are proposed.
