There are many kinds of suspension systems,and suspension K&C design and optimization is the core technologies,It directly determines the chassis performance,and even has an extremely important impact on the vehicle performance,including the body or frame.In this paper,a commercial vehicle in the test field road test,the frame beam appears bending deformation,tire wear and other difficult problems to solve as the research object.Instead of solving the problem directly from the perspective of stiffness,strength and durability,this paper analyzes the problem from the perspective of the impact of chassis suspension K characteristics on vehicle performance,and finds out the main reasons.Firstly,make up the vehicle dynamics models of the front Mc Pherson suspension and the rear leaf spring integrated axle suspension,and the accuracy calibration analysis of the models is carried out based on the test data.Then,through the benchmarking analysis with the K characteristic index of the benchmark car suspension,combined with the basic theory of vehicle dynamics,the causes of the bending deformation of the frame beam and tire wear and other difficult problems are analyzed,and the main reasons are determined,and the key performance index targets are set in ISIGHT platform,ADAMS and MATLAB are integrated for CO simulation.DOE analysis is carried out on the key indexes of the suspension K characteristics of the commercial vehicle to find out the design variables at the component level,and multi condition and multi-objective optimization based on noninferior sorting genetic algorithm(NSGA-II)is carried out to achieve the goal.Finally,through the simulation and verification analysis of the suspension level and vehicle level performance before and after optimization,it is found that the key characteristic indexes and vehicle performance which affect the bending deformation of frame crossbeam and tire wear have been greatly improved.After the engineering implementation of the optimization scheme,it is found that the commercial vehicle problem DOEs not appear again.It shows that the reasonable design and optimization of suspension k-characteristics is one of the important means to solve the difficult problems of vehicle performance,which provides a reference for the solution of similar practical engineering problems.
