| “The Belt and Road” initiative has brought huge development opportunities and market space to the construction industry.More and more Chinese construction companies are expanding their businesses in the international market.However,they are also facing the problem of cross-cultural communication while operating across the country.Cultivating cross-cultural communication talents is of great significance for ensuring the smooth progress of overseas projects and promoting the high-quality development of “The Belt and Road” joint construction.Based on the “cognition-emotion-behavior” three-dimensional theoretical model,a questionnaire was designed to collect data from the foreign employees of SJY company,SPSS26.0 and AMOS23.0 were used to conduct reliability and validity analysis,descriptive statistical analysis,single factor analysis and multiple Logistic regression analysis.The data were analyzed by using SPSS26.0 and AMOS23.0 for foreign staff of SJY,cross-cultural communication competence,cross-cultural communication barriers and cross-cultural communication training needs are measured,and targeted,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward,with a view to improving the cross-cultural communication competence of SJY foreign staff,and strengthening the national,international market competitiveness.At the same time,it also provides reference and basis for other enterprises to solve the problem of cross-cultural communication.The results show that the cross-cultural communication competence of SJY resident staff tends to medium level on the whole,and the cross-cultural communication competence of resident staff with different socio-economic characteristics is different,the behavior dimension ability score is the lowest,which is the key dimension that affects the foreign staff’’s cross-cultural communication competence of SJY company.Foreign language proficiency,cross-cultural communication skills training and overseas working years are the key factors that affect the cross-cultural communication competence of SJY staff.The ability of cognitive dimension and emotional dimension of the staff who have participated in the cross-cultural communication training is relatively stronger,and the ability of behavioral dimension of the staff who have mastered foreign language skillfully and worked abroad for more than 5 years is relatively stronger.Therefore,SJY company should enhance the awareness of cross-cultural communication competence,carry out cross-cultural communication training targeted,focus on improving the foreign language ability of foreign staff,and establish the rotation mechanism of foreign staff,in addition,we should actively build a cross-cultural communication platform to do a good job overseas staff localization management. |
