| Chinese international engineering contracting enterprises are an important force in implementing national initiatives such as “Going Global” and “One Belt and One Road”.With increasing participation in international competition and market expansion,there are more and more opportunities for mergers and acquisitions among enterprises.Facing the increasing diversity of employees,enterprises need to address the cultural differences among different gender,age,region,race and religion.Managers at all levels need urgently to replenish cross-cultural management knowledge.China Railway Construction Corporation,a representative enterprise of China’s international engineering contracting companies,is the main force in the development of the " One Belt and One Road " initiative.A case study of China Railway Construction Corporation was performed,focusing on the investigation of China Railway Construction Corporation(International)LTD,and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation LTD,the two overseas project contracting arms of China Railway Construction Corporation.Through in-depth interviews,case studies,with an omni-directional perspective,advanced intercultural theory was used to summarize the practical experience of China Railway Construction Corporation’s "Six Persistences",Some practical management suggestion were put forward,such as cultural coordination,effective communication,localization and in-depth training in intercultural management.The paper actively explores how China’s international engineering contracting enterprises will grasp the overall situation in the international market competition and grasp the essence and laws of cross-cultural conflicts,in an effort to promote international engineering contracting companies to participate in international market competition through effective scientific cross-cultural management.The ultimate goal is to realize the scientific management of overseas projects and the globalization,health and sustainable development of the enterprises. |
