The rapid development of social economy has brought about tremendous changes in people’s consumption structure. The most prominent performance in tourism consumption is the transformation from “material consumption” and “saving consumption” to “spiritual consumption” and “cultural consumption”.Under the impetus of “homestay”,a “homestay” that meets people’s spiritual needs came into being. However,in the development of homestays, many homestay design problems have become increasingly prominent, which has seriously affected the normal development of the homestay industry. This article takes this as a starting point and combines traditional Nyonya homestays in Malaysia, using document analysis, field research, analytic hierarchy process, case analysis to discuss in depth how to reflect the sense of belonging in the design of Nyonya homestays. In the end,it was found that the interior design of the homestay can improve the sense of belonging of tourists.Among them, the three factors of interior color design, interior furnishings and room space have the greatest influence on the sense of belonging of tourists. Finally, based on the results of the analytic hierarchy process,a theoretical analysis and practical design of the “seven old houses” homestay is carried out,in order to promote the better and faster development of the homestay, and I hope this article can provide a reference and reference for the homestay design.
