Discussion On The Landscape Design Of Urban Square Based On Sense Of Belonging

The city square has the reputation of “urban living room”,which not only reflects the important position of the square in the public space of the city,but also reflects the affinity of the city square for people,and has the function of the family,which can arouse people’s emotional identity.This kind of identity is the sense of belonging we study.At the same time of the rapid development of urban square construction,it also brings about the drawbacks of some square design,such as landscape homogenization,scale imbalance,lack of cultural characteristics,no humanistic care,etc.These problems have caused people to lose the sense of belonging to the square.Therefore,how to create a sense of belonging to the city square and improve the quality of the public space has become one of the topics we must study in depth.This article revolves around the theme of creating a sense of belonging in the city square,consults a large number of references and field research,through the collation and analysis of the collected materials,Firstly,it expounds the concept of city square and sense of belonging,as well as the type and design principle of city square,and then draws the conclusion that we can create a sense of belonging from the two aspects of humanization and cultural perception.It sums up the four elements of humanized design: scale sense,spatial form,human activities,public service facilities,and propose corresponding strategies for the four elements.Cultural perception is deeply studied from the three aspects of natural conditions,historical humanities and regional culture,and proposes a design strategy to create a sense of belonging.Based on the above theoretical research,combined with the actual investigation of Hongshan Square,comprehensive analysis,understanding the reconstruction history and composition of Hongshan Square,analyzing the current use of the square,the structure of the crowd and the characteristics of human activities,and exploring the relationship between the law of people’s activities and the landscape,analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the square and the psychological expectations of the users,and using the summarized sense of belonging to create a strategy to transform the design of the Linyin Leisure Square.The renovation design of the leisure plaza is based on the concept of Chu culture,water culture and local culture of Wuhan,guided by the characteristics of people’s activities,especially the activities of the elderly and children.It divides the activities space,enriches the activities of people and makes people Create a sense of belonging,pay attention to traffic streamline design and green design and special design.The design of waterscape perfectly combines Wuhan’s cultural characteristics with modern style.The design of service facilities such as sitting stools follows the humanized design principles and changes the previous design.The shape is designed into a multi-functional modular bench.The overall transformation design is based on the human core,with culture as the soul,creating a city leisure plaza that makes people feel a sense of belonging.How to create a sense of belonging in the city square is an important topic.This article has only made some simple understandings and attempts.I hope that the research in this paper can play a certain reference role for the design of urban squares in the future,bringing more and more perfect theories and experiences.
