Objective:To investigate the general information of patients with gastric polyps, such as gender, age, place of residence, eating habits, the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine constitution, and the distribution of psychological status, thus to preliminary explore the correlation between the general conditions of patients, pathological types, patients' TCM constitution, and psychological status,so as to understand the characteristics of gastric polyps prone population, multiple physiques and patients' psychological status, and provide certain reference ideas for the comprehensive prevention and treatment of gastric polyps. Methods:After researchers developing a questionnaire by selecting the Classification and Judgment of Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution issued by the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2009,the Chinese version of PHQ-9 and GAD-7 used as mental status assessment tools, and some other items such as patients' living habits, basic medical history, gastroscopy and pathological report, etc.,patients with gastric polyps filled out questionnaires with the assistance of researchers. The original database established with Excel software, and IBM SPSS 26.0 for statistical analysis.Results:(1)Among 295 patients with gastric polyps who participated in the study, there were more women, mainly middle-aged and elderly. The abnormal BMI was mostly overweight. The incidence of polyps was once, the surface morphology was smooth, the polyps were more frequent, and the diameter was less than 0.5 cm.The most common sites are the fundus of the stomach and the body of the stomach, and there are many cases with gastritis.Fundic gland polyps are the major pathological type. The patient's TCM constitution is mainly composed of qi deficiency,qi stagnation,damp-heat,and phlegm dampness. The patients were accompanied by depression and anxiety(45.09%,60.34%),most of which were mild.(2)The size of polyps is statistically significant for the distribution of pathological types(P<0.05).For those with a size of less than 1.0cm,the pathological type are mostly fundic gland polyps;while those with a size of more than 1.0cm are mostly hyperplastic polyps.(3)The influence of gender, age group and diet preference on TCM constitution is statistically significant(P<0.05).Men have more qi deficiency and damp-heat qualities, while women have more qi deficiency and qi stagnation.Patients under 30 years old only have phlegm-dampness,damp-heat quality,30-50 years old are mainly qi stagnation type, and over 50 years old are mainly qi deficiency quality.People with spicy-eating habit have more dampness and heat, and people with salty-eating habit have phlegm and dampness.(4)Gender,BMI,eating habits, history of alcohol, marital status, and basic medical history of hypertension and diabetes have an impact on the occurrence of depression, but has no correlation with the degree of depression.(5)Gender,BMI,diet preference, history of smoking, history of alcohol, previous hypertension, diabetes, and the frequency of polyp occurrence, and the number of polyps occurrence are related to the anxiety of patients with gastric polyps. The frequency of occurrence of gastric polyps, occupation, and the history of high blood pressure can affect the severity of anxiety.(6)There is no significant correlation between the pathological type of gastric polyps and the patient's TCM constitution(P>0.05),and there is no significant correlation between the pathological type of gastric polyps and the patient's depression, anxiety and its severity(P>0.05).(7)There is a certain correlation between the TCM constitution of patients with gastric polyps and the occurrence of depression: people with qi depression(86.76%)are most likely to have depression, followed by yin deficiency(63.64%),and again for yang deficiency(46.67%),phlegm dampness constitution(38.78%);the depression of qi is more serious than other constitutions(8.82%).(8)There is a correlation between the constitution of TCM and anxiety in patients with gastric polyps: Yin deficiency(90.91%)is more prone to anxiety, followed by qi depression(82.35%),and again Yang deficiency(80.00%);Yang deficiency(80.00%)26.67%)are prone to more serious anxiety, followed by qi depression(17.64%)and qi deficiency(16.09%).Conclusions:(1)TCM constitution types of patients with gastric polyps include qi deficiency,Yang deficiency,Yin deficiency,phlegm-dampness,damp-heat,blood stasis,qi stagnation, and there is no peaceful or heterogeneous nature.Of them,qi deficiency,qi stagnation, dampness and heat, and phlegm dampness.(2)Patients with gastric polyps have a certain degree of anxiety and depression, and the anxiety and depression are only mild to moderate.(3)There is no obvious correlation between the pathological type of gastric polyps and the patient's TCM constitution.(4)There is no obvious correlation between the pathological type of gastric polyps and the patient's depression, anxiety and its severity.(5)There is a certain correlation between the constitution of TCM and the occurrence of depression in patients with gastric polyps: depression is most likely to occur in patients with qi depression, followed by yin deficiency, and again yang deficiency and phlegm dampness.(6)There is a correlation between the TCM constitution of patients with gastric polyps and the occurrence of anxiety: yin deficiency is more prone to anxiety, followed by yang deficiency, and qi depression again.(7)TCM physique of patients with gastric polyps has no effect on the degree of depression and anxiety.
