Effects Of Feikang Ointment On Quality Of Life And Pulmonary Function In Patients With Stable COPD

Objective:To explore the effect of Feikang ointment on patients with Qi deficiency and phlegm obstruction and blood stasis in stable phase of COPD,including TCM clinical symptoms,MMRC,SGRQ,frequency of acute exacerbation,lung function,liver and kidney function,electrocardiogram,routine blood stool,blood glucose and other safety indicators,the effect and safety of Feikang ointment on quality of life,lung function and lung function in stable phase of COPD patients were analyzed.Methods:Patients with syndrome of Qi deficiency and phlegm obstruction of blood stasis in stable phase of COPD who were admitted to the Department of Respirium,Dongzhimen Hospital,Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from December 2018 to April 2020 were randomly divided into control group and paste group with 32 patients in each group according to SPSS 25.0.The control group was treated with conventional western medicine treatment and health education for 3 months,while the treatment group was given Feikang ointment on this basis.The main components were Astragalus membranaceus,Radix Parasiatica,Atractylodonis tractylodonis,Radix Huangjing,Rhodiola rosea,Tangerine peel,peach kernel,safflower,Deerhorn gum,Donjiao,Amosum kernel,Radix sagrarius and Semen Raphani,20g each in the morning and evening for 3 months.Record respectively before and after the intervention of TCM symptoms in patients with grade quantitative table score,mMRC,SGRQ,into the first 6 months and into the group 6 months after the number of exacerbations,pulmonary function(FEV1 and FVC,FEV1/FVC,FEV1%Mr Pred),liver and kidney function(ALT,AST,CREA,UREA),electrocardiogram(ecg),blood routine(WBC,RBC,HGB,PLT,urine leucocyte,red blood cells and urine protein,urine sugar),fasting blood sugar,after the research by SPSS 25.0 software for data statistics,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:64 cases were collected clinically,8 cases were excluded,and 56 cases were included in the final study,28 in each group.1.Comparison of basic data:there was no statistical significance in gender,age,smoking history and pulmonary function severity grading of patients in the first two groups(P>0.05),indicating comparability.2.Comparison of efficacy:there was no statistical significance in TCM symptom grading scale score,MMRC,SGRQ,frequency of acute exacerbation and lung function between the two groups before enrollment(P>0.05),indicating comparability.After treatment,the total score of TCM symptoms,the score of primary symptoms,shortness of breath,fatigue,fatigue,cough,cough sound,sputum,purple and dark tongue,thick tongue vein,spontaneous sweating,lazy speech and limb weight of secondary symptoms in the ointment prescription group were significantly improved compared with the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The total score of MMRC and SGRQ,including symptom score,disease impact score and times of acute exacerbation were significantly improved compared with before inclusion,with statistical significance(P<0.05).FEV1 in the ointment formula group was improved compared with before inclusion(P<0.05),and there was no statistical significance compared with the control group(P>0.05).The mean value of the remaining items was improved,but there was no statistical significance compared with before inclusion and the control group(P>0.05).3.Comparison of safety indicators:Before and after treatment,there was no significant abnormality in blood and urine routine,liver and kidney function,fasting blood glucose and electrocardiogram in 2 groups,and no adverse reactions such as dry mouth and sore throat in the ointment formula group.Conclusion:1.Feigang ointment can significantly improve patients' TCM symptoms,especially cough,sputum volume,shortness of breath,fatigue,purple and dark tongue,etc.Feikang ointment can reduce the number of COPD acute attacks,reduce MMRC score,SGRQ score,respiratory symptoms and disease impact score,and the improvement is statistically significant,indicating that Feikang ointment can improve the quality of life of COPD patients.2 Feikang cream could improve the mean lung function of patients(FEV1,FVC,FEV1/FVC,FEV1pred%),but the difference was not statistically significant.3.No adverse reactions occurred in the treatment of COPD with Feikang ointment during stable period,which is safe,effective and reliable.
