Objective: In order to identify the chemical constituents of Salvia.cavaleriei var.simplicifolia Stib,the chemical constituents of 95% ethanol extract from S.cavaleriei var.simplicifolia were studied.Methods: In this study,95% ethanol reflux was used to extract extract,extract components,separate samples(silica gel,Sephadex LH-20 gel,MCI gel,ODS),purify samples(semiprepared by HPLC),and use nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR hydrogen spectrum and carbon spectrum)to identify the structure of the samplesResult: Four compounds were isolated and identified from petroleum ether extract.Six compounds were isolated from ethyl acetate fraction and four compounds were identified.These compounds were identified as: ?-amyrin(1),betulonic acid(2),E-ferulic acidhexacosyl ester(3),?-sitostenone(4),Stigmasta-4,22-dien-3-one(5),1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid bis(2S-methyl heptyl)ester(6),1,2,3-Propanetriyl tris(tetradecanoate)(7),trans-phytol(8),?-sitosterol(9),Daucosterol(10).Conclusion: A total of 10 compounds were identified,including 4 compounds from petroleum ether extract and 6 compounds from ethyl acetate extract.Among them,there are two triterpenes: ?-amyrin(1)and betulonic acid(2);two aromatic compounds: E-ferulic acidhexacosyl ester(3),1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid bis(2S-methyl heptyl)ester(6);two fatty acid esters: 1,2,3-Propanetriyl tris(tetradecanoate)(7),trans-phytol(8),four steroid compounds: ?-sitostenone(4),Stigmasta-4,22-dien-3-one(5),?-sitosterol(9),Daucosterol(10).Nine compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time,respectively ?-amyrin(1),betulonic acid(2),E-ferulic acidhexacosyl ester(3),?-sitostenone(4),Stigmasta-4,22-dien-3-one(5),1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid bis(2S-methyl heptyl)ester(6),1,2,3-Propanetriyl tris(tetradecanoate)(7),trans-phytol(8),Daucosterol(10).Six were extracted from the sage plant for the first time: E-ferulic acidhexacosyl ester(3),?-sitostenone(4),Stigmasta-4,22-dien-3-one(5),1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid bis(2S-methyl heptyl)ester(6),1,2,3-Propanetriyl tris(tetradecanoate)(7),trans-phytol(8).
