Objective:To study the chemical constituents from Isodon flavidus and search for compounds with novel structure and good activity.Methods:The dried stems and leaves of Isodon flavidus(Hand.-Mazz.)Hara was pulverized into coarse powder,which was extracted by industriall methanol(95%),and futher separated and purified by silica gel column chromatography,MCI and recrystallization.The structures of compounds were identified by spectroscopic data with IR,MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR,2D-NMR and X-ray single crystal diffraction.The microbroth dilution method was used to screen the antimicrobial activity of some compounds.Ressults:Twenty six compounds were isolated from plant Isodon flavidus,these compounds are as follows:13-hydroxy-7-one-20-norabieta-8-rosin-ene(1);8,13-dihydroxy-1(10)-ene-3',4'-secoisopimara-4',7',15 '-triene-3'-ate(2);8,9,13-trihydroxy-20-norabieta-l-rosin-ene(3);7-hydroxy-isopimara-8,15-diene-3-one(4);3,4-Secoisopimara-4-hydroxy-7,15-die-ne-3-oic acid methylester(5);lophanic acid(6);fladin B(7);3,4-secoisopimara-4(18),7,15-triene-3-o-ic acid(8);Rubesanolides D(9);8,9-dihydroxyabieta-20-oic-acid-9,20-lactone(10);isopimara-7,15-dien-3?-ol(11);E-phytol(12);fladin A(13);spathulenol(14);(2R,3S)-3-methyl-2-(5-oxo-2-isopropenylhexyl)-cyclopentanone(15);oleanolic acid(16);ursolic acid(17);3-epicorosolic acid(18);euscaphic acid(19);1-acetoxyl-2-piperonyl-6-[6-methoxylpiperonyl]-3,7-dioxabicyclo-[3,3,0]-octane(20);1-acetoxyI-2e,6e-dipiperony-3,7-dioxabicyclo-[3,3,0]-octane(21);sesaminone(22);Arboreol 2-O-methyl ether(23);?-daucosterol(24);?-sitosterol(25);Palmitic acid(26).Antimicrobial activity data showed that the inhibition rate of C.neoformans,T.rubrium,T.mentagrophy and MRSA were respectively 59.43%,51.50%and 51.50%of 7-hydroxy-isopimara-8,15-diene-3-one(4).ConcIusion:Twenty six compounds were isolated from Isodon flavidus,including three new compounds and 23 known compounds.Twelve known compounds(4?5?8?12?14?15?18?19?20?22?23?26)were isolated from this plant for the first time,and one of them(4)has potential antibacterial activity.
