In October 2016,the news that Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize in Literature has aroused a heated debate in the international cultural community.As a pop singer,Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize in Literature,which seemed a bit far-fetched to the literary circles,but the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts gave a ground-breaking response:"The beauty of Dylan's songs belongs to the highest level.In the era of commercial gramophone records,he gave back a form of sublimation to the language of poetry."Both responded to the controversy and caused deeper thinking:How can pop music win the most typical elite culture award as the most typical popular culture?What is the deeper relationship between popular culture and elite culture under the appearance that people are habitually simply classified?This article takes Dylan and his works as the research object,and discusses the classic literary and artistic problem of "the relationship between popular culture and elite culture" from the front and back.By analyzing the popular cultural characteristics and elite culture contained in Dylan and his works,The connotation reveals the dynamic interaction and mutual transformation relationship between the popular culture and the elite culture.The thesis is divided into three parts:introduction,main text and conclusion.The main text is divided into three chapters.The introduction mainly explains the background of the topic of the thesis,introduces the general situation of Bob Dylan's creation,and sorts out the study of Bob Dylan and his works in the academic field at home and abroad,as well as the relationship between popular culture and elite culture in the domestic and foreign academic circles.The research method and innovation of the thesis are briefly introduced.The chapter one analyzes the attributes of Bob Dylan and his works as popular culture.Starting from popular culture and its main characteristics,he interprets the popular codes of Bob Dylan and his works,and creates two through lyrics and music.It analyzes the reasons for the popularity of Bob Dylan's works.At the same time,he analyzes the popular cultural factors that Bob Dylan has received extensive attention and welcomed from the analysis of his communication methods and the thinking of the business society.Based on the above three angles,the reason why Bob Dylan's works became popular was analyzed comprehensively,and the attributes of popular culture were restored.The chapter two explores the elite cultural characteristics of Bob Dylan's works,and analyzes the social critical innovation,rebellion,and poetry of Dylan's works consistent with the elite culture from the perspective of lyrics and accompaniment.Combined with its lyrics narrative and musical innovation,to reveal the characteristics of its elite culture.The chapter three analyzes the two-way interaction between the popular culture and the elite culture of Bob Dylan and his works,and explores the underlying reasons why his works can take into account the popularity and rational spirit.The two-way interaction and mutual transformation between mass culture and elite culture.The conclusion part summarizes the entire article.The innovation of the article is that through research on Bob Dylan,it reveals the two-way interaction and mutual transformation of popular culture and elite culture and the necessary conditions.
