Vocabulary is the basic element of a language, and exploring vocabulary learning has far-reaching significance for language mastery.Existing studies have investigated vocabulary learning in emotional contexts and found that contextual emotions have an important influence on vocabulary learning, and this influence is regulated by emotional materials with different degrees of arousal. In addition, humans can acquire concepts and gain knowledge during social interaction, and individuals are more sensitive to emotional materials in the context of social interaction.A large number of studies have examined the impact of social interaction on infant vocabulary learning, but few studies have focused on the impact of social interaction on adult vocabulary learning and its mechanisms. So does social interaction affect adult vocabulary learning? Will this effect regulate vocabulary learning in an emotional context? This study manipulates the two variables of social interaction and contextual sentiment.Based on previous studies, the two-person real-time cooperative learning paradigm is adopted to introduce social interaction into the study of vocabulary learning in different emotional contexts. The learning situation examines the influence of social interaction on vocabulary learning in different emotional contexts.Experiment 1 uses behavioral techniques to explore the impact of contextual emotions and social interaction on vocabulary learning. The experiment controlled two factors, context emotion(positive, negative, and neutral)as the internal variables of the subjects, and social interaction(with and without social interaction)as the inter-subject variables.Participants in the social interaction group in the learning phase learned the meaning of the pseudonyms according to the prompts of the experimental assistant in the three emotional contexts;while subjects in the non-interaction group independently learned the meaning of the pseudonyms in the three emotional contexts,Like the social interaction group, the experimental assistant sits opposite the subject, but does not perform any operations. In the testing phase, the subjects need to perform the consistency judgment task on the pictures and the fake words by pressing keys.It was found that during the learning phase, the reaction time in the negative emotional context was significantly longer than that in the positive emotional context and the neutral emotional context;while in the test phase, the interaction between the context emotion and the social environment had a significant interactive effect on vocabulary judgment,In the context of no social interaction, the vocabulary accuracy rate of positive emotional context and negative emotional context is significantly higher than that of neutral emotional context, while in the context of social interaction, the vocabulary of negative emotional context acquisition reflects Significantly shorter than positive emotional context.Experiment 2 improves Experiment 1 to further enhance the interaction level of the social interaction group. At the same time,it uses near-infrared imaging technology to reveal the regulatory effect of social interaction on the vocabulary learning. In order to better distinguish the two conditions of social interaction and non-social interaction,in the near infrared experiment, the subjects and the experimental assistant faced the same computer screen together, and the two chairs were placed at an angle of 90 degrees.During the entire experiment Each other can see each other's expressions and actions,so that the participants in the social interaction group get a more realistic experience of social interaction. It was found that in the testing phase, the subjects in the social interaction group had higher correctness and shorter response time;in the context of no social interaction, the vocabulary response time acquired in the context of positive emotions was significantly shorter than that of negative and neutral emotional language In the context of social interaction, the vocabulary responses acquired in the three emotional contexts are significantly shortened and the difference between them is no longer significant;in addition, the near infrared results also found that social interaction conditions There is a significant phenomenon of neural synchronization among subjects, and this phenomenon of neural synchronization predicts better behavior. The results of this study show that a significant phenomenon of neural synchronization between subjects appears in social interaction situations, and this neural synchronization phenomenon predicts better behavioral performance;in addition, the effect of contextual emotions on vocabulary learning is regulated by social interaction, without Emotional context in social interaction scenarios promotes vocabulary learning.Conversely, social interaction contexts will weaken the positive emotional bias that occurs steadily in non-social interaction scenarios.
