"Bijiao"(??)and "Ting"(?)are degree adverbs commonly used in modern Chinese Mandarin, and their meanings are very close.Foreign students often misuse or substitute each other when they acquire these two degree adverbs. The existence of a large number of errors shows that although "Bijiao"(??)and "Ting"(?)are a group of similar adverbs, they cannot be replaced with each other under any conditions. Therefore,a comparative analysis of the two is of great significance in terms of ontology and practical application.Based on a large number of corpora, this paper studies the semantic, grammatical, and pragmatic differences between"Bijiao"(??)and "Ting"(?),analyzes the common types of errors and their causes, and attempts to propose operational teaching strategies. The first part of this article is the introduction.Based on the research significance and research status of the degree adverbs "Bij iao"(??)and "Ting"(?),this article reviews the research on the ontology and teaching of the two, points out the existing problems, then elaborates the research methods of this article And ideas, and explained the source of the corpus used in the article. The first chapter mainly analyzes the similarities and differences of semantics, syntax and pragmatics of the degree adverbs "Bijiao"(??)and "Ting"(?).In the multi-angle contrastive analysis of the degree adverbs "Bijiao"(??)and "Ting"(?),we find that the degree adverb "Bijiao"(??)itself has a kind of explicit or implicit contrast and has obj ectivity;it is precisely because of "Bijiao"(??)objective s emantic features Therefore,it is often used in objective styles;the adverb of degree "Ting"(?)means subjective determination and certainty;so it is often used in subjective styles."Bijiao"(??)can be used in interrogative sentences such as non-question,specific question, selective question and positive and negative(additional question)sentences;"Ting"(?)can be used in interrogative sentences such as non-question,positive and negative(additional question)and rhetorical question sentences. The adverb of degree“Ting"(?)can only be used in exclamatory sentences."Bijiao"(??)is used in the preconditions to express objective facts, and "Ting"(?)is used in the preconditions to indicate the subjective feelings of the speaker."Ting"(?)can be used to maintain the"negative face" of the speaker and the listener, while "Bijiao"(??)cannot. The second chapter mainly analyzes the types of errors of degree adverbs"Bij iao"(??)and "Ting"(?)based on a large number of error corpora. We find that the types of errors that often appear in the degree adverb "Bijiao"(??)include five types:substitution, addition error, omission error, sequential error and mix-up error;the types of mistakes that often appear in the degree adverb "Ting"(?)include three types:substitution, addition error and omission error. We have also found that the reasons for the errors of "Bijiao"(??)and "Ting"(?)adverbs of degree roughly include the induction of textbooks, reference books and teaching, misidentification of synonyms, excessive generalization of target language knowledge, and communication strategies that students often use to avoid. The third chapter tries to put forward some pertinent and operable suggestions on the teaching of "Bijiao"(??)and "Ting"(?)based on the previous two chapters.Through the analysis of a large number of textbooks and reference books,we propose that "textbooks and reference books should explain the semantic features as comprehensively, systematically, and uniformly as possible to avoid being too broad and general;pay attention to the semantic relationships and pragmatic restrictions within adverbs of all levels."In addition,we also put forward five suggestions for teaching methods:First, pay attention to the semantic relations and pragmatic restrictions within adverbs of various degrees.Second, combined with prone errors, use typical example sentences to explain and guide.Third, focus on contrastive teaching.Fourth, pay attention to repeated teaching.Fifth, use charts to summarize knowledge.
