Research On Han Fei's Thought Of Governance

Han Fei was a famous ideologist in the late Warring States period,under the social conditions on the eve of unification of Qin Dynasty,he put forward the governing scheme which views the law as the core and unites the benefits governing,profit governing,power governing,and fame governing based on the thought of human nature characterized by profit.He advocated governing the citizen by means of “rewards and punishments” and “disrepute”,aiming at finding a “good prescription” for rescuing the“troubled times”.His thought of governing by law contradicts the principle of governing by virtue,which provided a social governing scheme different from that of confucianism and other schools in the disordered Warring States period.The essence of his thought is the dotrine of severe punishment and absolute monarch and characterized by law and profit advocation.In the context of the rule of law,Han Fei's thought of governing undoubtedy provided us with rich historical resources and useful ideas for exploring the governance of China in the new era in the progress of advancing the moderivization of the country's governance.
