For South Korea, the 1950 s is destined to go down in history and be remembered. What people need to remember is not that it got rid of the fate of Japanese imperialist colonization, nor that the Korean people ushered in the day of their recovery, but that they fought, persecuted and killed each other.South Korea, which has experienced the Korean War,has stagnated economically, confused political ideology, lack of teaching force in education, and cultural invasion by foreign cultures.During this period, the novelists, known as the "New Generation",stepped onto the historical stage and stood on the Korean literary world. In this paper, some writers' works are selected for analysis, such as Lost Dream,Blood Book,Rainy Day,Unresolved Chapter by Sun Changshe,Suffering Second Generation and White Paper Beard by He Jincan,Rebellion by Wu Shangyuan and Dark Map by Xu Jiyuan.Starting from the male and female characters in the work respectively, under the social background of the great impact of the Korean War on people's spirit, this paper analyzes the causes of mental disability and how to overcome them.In addition,in this paper also analyzes whether the mental disability that is different from ordinary people has been brought to male and female characters due to physical disability or illness, and the causes. In the aspect of literary criticism theory, the author chooses psychoanalysis as the theoretical guidance, and examines and analyzes the above problems and their causes through Freud's theory of personality structure,Jung's collective unconsciousness and Lacan's theory. In this way, this paper explores and exposes the spiritual incompleteness brought by the Korean War,to expose the cruelty of war and emphasize the value of peace.
