A Theoretical Study Of Chinese Historical Novels From 1900 To 1937

The theory of Chinese historical novel from 1900 to 1937,as an important branch of the theory of Chinese historical novel,has its uniqueness and importance in the development of the theory of historical novel.Focusing on the historical novels of this period,and combining with the historical novels of this period,this paper analyzes and studies the theories of Chinese historical novels of this period,and probes into the uniqueness of the theories of historical novels of this period in terms of content and status.Specifically,the paper is mainly divided into the following five parts:The first part preliminarily explores the theory of Chinese historical novels in this period,analyzes the historical background,theoretical sources and theoretical overview of the emergence of the theory of Chinese historical novels in this period,and gives an overall explanation to the theory of Chinese historical novels in this period.The second part explores the concept of style in the theory of Chinese historical novels in this period,including the relationship between the concept of fiction,the concept of history,the spirit of The Times and historical novels.From 1900 to 1937,the concept of fiction and the concept of history underwent a modernized transformation,which promoted the independence and awakening of the style of historical fiction and the modernized transformation of historical fiction.At the same time,the theory of historical novels in this period was deeply influenced by the theme of The Times,which emphasized the patriotic spirit and national consciousness of historical novels.The third part focuses on analyzing the creative theory in the theory of Chinese historical novels in this period,including the creative motivation,the relationship between virtual-reality and artistic conception.Based on the practice of historical novel creation,this paper analyzes the causes of the rise of historical novel creation in this period,and focuses on exploring the relationship between historical reality and artistic fiction as well as artistic conception.The fourth part studies the literary value of the theory of Chinese historical novels in this period.Under the influence of the historical background,the theory of historical novels has the dual reality and social function of "for society" and "for life".In particular,theorists of historical novels refer to social reality by drawing lessons from the past,criticize social reality by satirizing the past and criticizing the present,and convey the positive attention to reality and life through the past for the present.At the same time,as a weapon of education,enlightenment and moral education,historical novels are directly used by the society.The fifth part discusses the value and influence of the theory of Chinese historical novels in this period.The theory of Chinese historical novels in this period guided the creation of modern historical novels and promoted the development of modern historical novels.
