The adverb "dou" is one of the most frequently used words in Chinese,and the textbooks for foreigners have also paid attention to increasing its recurrence rate,but Chinese learners still make lots of mistakes when using "dou",which shows that there is a need for further research into the organization of teaching "dou" in Chinese as a foreign language.This paper adopts a combination of comparative analysis,induction,and quantitative and qualitative research methods to examine the arrangement of the adverb "dou" in Chinese Course,Developing Chinese and New Practical Chinese Reader·Textbook in terms of the setting of meaning items and the presentation of grammatical points,the arrangement of grammatical point positions,the design of exercises and the reproduction of texts.In terms of the setting and presentation of the grammatical items of the adverb "dou",the textbooks differ in their understanding of the number of items and their attribution to "dou",as well as in their presentation of the grammatical items of "dou".In the presentation of grammatical items,the adverb "dou" and "ye" are often presented side by side;In the arrangement of the grammatical items of the adverb "dou",we find that the position of each grammatical item is not specific.In terms of the placement of the grammatical items,we find that it's not deliberate,and that the arrangement of the grammatical items is either ahead of or behind the schedule in all the textbooks;In terms of the design of the exercises for the adverb "dou",most of the exercises for the grammatical items for the adverb 'all' were repeatedly placed in different books and lessons.The types of exercises are similar from textbook to textbook,with sentence and conversation exercises being the main ones,but the number of exercises varies considerably.The grammatical items of "dou" are divided into those presented in the textbook and those that appear in the text but are not presented.Through the above research and analysis on the arrangement of teaching materials for the adverb "dou" in Chinese as a foreign language,we believe that we should pay attention to the following issues in the preparation of the adverb "dou" in the future: clarify the basic meaning of "dou" and increase its grammatical points;follow the order of arrangement from easy to difficult and progressive;strengthen the practice of "dou" and enrich the types of practice questions;and coordinate the textual reproduction of the grammatical points of "dou".
