A Preliminary Study Of The Circular Narrative Structure Of Dance Dramas

The research object of this paper is the circular narrative structure in the nonlinear narrative structure.Due to the lack of this structural theory in the dance industry,the author found its clear concept and creation method in the film industry through interdisciplinary research,and tried to apply its concept to the creation of dance drama.In the process of researching this topic,the author firstly compares the structure of the fi lm Spring,Summer,Autumn,Winter and Spring with the dance drama Heard that Love Was Back--The Legend of White Snake,which are also a type of circular narrative structure,and proves that the film theory has a target in the dance drama creation.Secondly,the author tries to construct the dance drama Dream Is Not a Dream with the collage structure(another type of circular narrative structure)like Pulp Fiction.Based on the bidirectional demonstration of theory and practice,the concept,structural character istics,creative techniques and aesthetic values of the circular narrative structure of dance drama are finally obtained.The appl ication of ci rcular narrative structure in dance drama creation will break through the traditional linear mode of dance drama,thus constructing a new form of dance drama structure with post-modern meaning.Implanting new structural concepts into dance drama creation not only helps to break the creators'habitual thinking in creation,but also enables us to construct a new structural mode of dance drama with a new concept and new consciousness and produce a new structural form.In addition,it is likely to refresh the aesthetic cognition of the creators,so that the creators,under the guidance of the new concept,will gradually find a new pursuit for the aesthetic sense of the works.Through the continuous aesthetic immersion,the creators will be stimulated to release their inner aesthetic world in multiple ways of expression.
